It’s been more than a year since the Pagani Huayra Roadster was released and now we’re getting our first glimpse at the Huayra BC Roadster – the lighter, more powerful, go-faster version of the Huayra with unlimited headroom. These are the first spy shots we’ve had the pleasure of seeing and we don’t think that’s it’s quite ready for production yet. Keep reading to see more shots and learn a little more about it.

2019 Pagani Huayra Roadster BC Enhancements

Right off the bat, it’s easy to spot the same front fascia that we saw on the Huayra BC Coupe. But, do you notice that there’s something missing here? Yeah, we see it too. Where are the big spoiler and rear diffuser? Well, there are two possibilities here. First and most likely is the fact that these are probably early prototypes so Pagani may not have put them into place yet. The other possibility is that Pagani will forgo that larger spoiler and rear diffuser altogether to preserve the look of the roadster.

As far as power goes, the rumor is that it could get close to 800 horsepower. I know; I know. That’s what was said about the BC coupe, and it only got bumped up by 19 ponies to 739 horsepower (and 738 pound-feet of torque.) Here’s the thing, though. The Roadster came off the production line with more power than the BC Coupe at 753, so even if it’s tweaked up just 19 horsepower again, it’ll still push more than 780 – a pretty respectable figure. You can also expect there to be some significant weight loss as well. The Huayra lost 291 pounds when Pagani slapped on the BC badge, so you can expect to see a loss of at least 200 pounds for the Huayra BC Roadster. As such, expect the BC Roadster to deliver the 60-mph sprint in around 2.7 seconds with top speed coming in around 230 mph – about the same as the standard BC Coupe.

With all of this in mind, it’s not even worth thinking about, really, unless you like to admire from a distance. The BC models are a tribute to Benny Caiola, a personal friend of Horacio Pagani and the first Pagani Customer, so they are produced in very limited numbers. The Huayra BC Coupe was produced in just 20 examples, all of which were sold out practically before we knew they existed, so you can probably expect the same with the BC Roadster.

It’s still worth dreaming about though, right?
