It may be the middle of winter, but odds are you remember the speed limits put in place at the ‘Ring over the summer. Implemented in response to a fatal accident during the VLN Endurance Championship, the restrictions were yet another reminder of just how dangerous the Nurburgring->ke999 can be. High speeds, blind corners, and virtually zero run-off make this iconic track one of the most demanding circuits in the world, but year after year, experts and novices alike take up the challenge – with varying levels of success. As you can guess, this video highlights when things go wrong.

Luckily, no one was seriously hurt in the crashes you’ll see in this video, which is a miracle considering the force behind some of the impacts. Most of the crashes->ke277 appear to be during events open to the public (unsurprising given the number of cars on track and variable speeds), but there are a few off-road excursions from the pros thrown in as well.

Each crash was filmed from a trackside perspective, giving you full view of the flying parts and twisted aftermath. Expect four and a half minutes of heart-stopping moments and slow-motion automotive destruction replays.
