It seems that Toyota->ke88 has big plans for the future. Not only will the Japanese company be bringing out their new FT-86 sport coupe, developed with Subaru, but they will also be coming out with new versions of the Camry->ke246, Yaris->ke354, Tacoma->ke1042, and RAV4->ke370 in the next 18 months. Somewhere further in the future, Toyota will also be developing a coupe and even a pick-up version of the Prius->ke88. The Prius? Say what?!

Based on the same platform as the current Prius, the coupe version will feature more dramatic styling and will compete with models like the Honda CR-Z. Toyota has already conducted a design competition involving the company's four global design studios and a couple of outside coachbuilders. The official debut is expected for 2012.

As for the pick-up version, this might be a production version of the A-BAT concept->ke2993, and will be sold in both Toyota and Scion->ke79 versions. The Toyota version will be based on the Prius, making it more of a parcel carrier than a cargo hauler. This new model will be built in USA because importing it will cost too much. Toyota also has plans for a Prius wagon, but it will not be coming to America.
