Get ready for your latest dose of CGI robot aliens and vehicular mayhem, folks. Transformers 5 is on the way. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the sequel to the series reboot starring Mark Wahlberg will hit theaters in 2017.

The announcement was made by Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner during a meeting about earnings, so it makes sense that the next Transformers movie would come up. The first four movies of the current Transformers series have been blockbusters, including the most recent – 2014’s Transformers: Age of Extinction – which made $1.09 billion in theaters and was the highest-grossing movie ever in China.

Aside from a 2017 big screen debut, Goldner also revealed that Transformers 5 would be written by Akiva Goldsman, who has written I, Robot, The Da Vinci Code and A Beautiful Mind – for which he won an Academy Award. While an official title for the next movie has yet to be revealed, filming is likely to start soon with Wahlberg reprising his role as Cade Yeager. As for the cars, expect the Autobots' love of GM->ke1024 products to continue, and judging by the last movie, a growing mix of exotic supercars->ke177 as well.
