Apart from visiting your local Mercedes-Benz->ke187 dealership and somehow convincing the managers there for a one-on-one session with the new Mercedes-AMG GT, which should also include some driving time on both the road and the track, there is pretty much no other way of taking in as much information as you will from the video above. Oh, and not to mention the fact that the 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT and GT-S are still months from actually being present in any three-pointed star dealership.

Saving you from all that work, known YouTube user Saabkyle04 took it upon himself to create what is probably the most thorough video review of a Mercedes-AMG GT-S Edition 1 pre-production prototype. Almost 40 minutes of footage, during which pretty much every detail of the AMG->ke8 model is featured, including its steering, transmission, driving modes, and information about the model's development. Sure, the overall tone of the video might be a bit on the monotonous side for some people -- hey, not everyone is Chris Harris or Jeremy Clarkson -- but those wanting to know almost everything there is to know about the car will probably love it.

As a refresher, the Mercedes-AMG GT is in some ways a replacement for the SLS AMG, but bringing somewhat similar performance in a much lower price bracket, where cars like the Porsche 911->ke282 are usually being cross-shopped. The car is powered by a twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V-8 that offers either 476 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque in the GT or 510 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque in the GT S variant. The model above is a GT S that has also been fitted with the limited "Edition 1" package, which will only be available in the first year of production.
