The production version Porsche 918 Spyder will be unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, but Jay Leno->ke3731 had the chance to test it a few days before. He had the chance to ask all the question he wanted, as the head of the project, Frank Walliser was there to offer the answers.

The 918 Spyder->ke3629 will be powered by a 4.6-liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 608 horsepower combined with an electric motor for the rear that adds another 154 horsepower and one for the front axle with an additional 127 horsepower.

With its total 887 mind-blowing horsepower, the 918 Spyder can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and up to a top speed of 211 mph, or 93 mph in E-Power mode.
