Back in September, rumors were abound that the 2014 McLaren P1 lapped the Nurburgring track in only 7:04, but new rumors now suggest that the P1 ->ke4608 lapped the ring yesterday in just 6:47 seconds. The above video was taken during this alleged record-breaking lap.

McLaren ->ke284 has said nothing about this time just yet, so we don't know just how official this time is. The company did confirm a while back that its newest supercar could lap the `Ring in less than seven minutes.

If this time turns out to be the real deal, then the P1 will become the fastest production vehicle to ever lap the circuit, beating the Radical SR8 LM by just a single second. This would also put the P1 well ahead of the new Porsche 918 Spyder, which lapped the ring in a time of 6:57.

Stay tuned to find out if this lap time is for real or not!
