When Zahir Rana lost control of his Edo Competition Ferrari Enzo XX Evolution back in 2011 during the Targa Newfoundland rally, the supercar->ke177 and Rana went careening off an embankment and into the Atlantic Ocean. All hope seemed lost for the rare Enzo, one out of only 349 ever built. However, when the car was hoisted from its salty bath, things began to take a positive spin.

Rana decided to rebuild the car. The Enzo was shipped back to Edo Competition in Germany where it was completely dismantled. Repairs were made on the damaged bodywork and cracked headlight while every inch of the cars interior, undercarriage, suspension, and engine were meticulously revitalized.

Rebuilding the 651-horsepower, 6.0-liter V-12 wouldn’t be enough for Rana. He wanted more horsepower too. The team at Edo Competition worked to develop a bespoke tune for the V-12, something never done on the Enzo.

The rebuilt car was then dubbed the ZXX. Its V-12 now displaces 6.5-liters and is capable of putting out 950 horsepower. Edo Competition fitted the car with a set of custom wheels and a new exhaust system. The Enzo now boasts a futuristic driving experience as all three mirrors were replaced with cameras that display on a central, dash-mounted monitor.

The rest of the interior is completely reworked as well. The Enzo ZXX has bespoke seats that weigh 15 kg (33 pounds) less than the stock units. Rana also spent a large amount of time choosing the right paint, having more than 5,000 samples in to pick from. Overall, the Enzo ZXX is a completely new beast, ready for future races where Rana is determined to finish number one.
