Volkswagen now offers new entry-level engine technology for the Eos. The 1.4 TSI (90 kW/122 PS) is the first new TSI-generation engine available for this popular cabriolet coupe.

The journey becomes the destination when cruising along in the 1.4 TSI. In this engine version, the Eos effortlessly achieves a top speed of 196 km/h, with an average fuel consumption of 6.7 litres per 100 km. This 122 PS turbo engine replaces the 1.6 FSI with 85 kW/115 PS and offers a number of distinct benefits. Even though, for example, fuel consumption is reduced by around twelve per cent, the top speed is 4 km/h higher. Maximum torque is raised by almost twelve per cent to 200 Newton metres, available for 1,500 to 4,000 rpm. The Eos 1.4 TSI comes at a basic price of 26,950 euro.

The Eos now also has an innovative radio-navigation system, the RNS 510, which features a 30-gigabyte hard disk and graphics card and can even be used to play video DVDs. The system uses a 6.5-inch touch screen for intuitive operation. External data carriers can be attached via an integrated AUX IN connection and the SD card reader. High-tech infotainment that is child’s play to use – in the Eos for 2,575 euro.
