As you know, Volkswagen will unveil the next generation Golf this autumn at the Paris Motor Show. To give us a pretty good idea of what the new generation will bring, AutoBild revealed a few renderings of the entire Golf family.

The Golf VI will be more than a facelift: modified exterior, better interior and new engine line-up, and not to forget will be cheaper than the current generation Golf. That will mean that for, lets say 16.000 euro you will get a better car than today.

The six cylinder engine will be discontinued, reason: the consumption. Volkswagen will go for less cylinder and turbocharging.

The compamny will offer the same versions as for the current generation: Concept Line, Comfort Line, High Line, GTI and GTD, but will also add the sporting R-Line and the Golf Individual.

The engine range: the 1.4, 80 hp will be replaced in the summer of 2009 by the 1.2 TSI, 86-horsepower; the 1.6, 102 hp will be replaced by the 1.2 TSI, 105-hp; 1.4 TSI, 160 hp, with Turbo and compressor; 2.0 TSI, 200 hp, the famous GTI engine. Diesel: 2.0 TDI CR (Common Rail), 110 hp; 1.6 TDI, CR, 90 hp; 2.0 TDI CR, 140 hp.

The Golf Plus version will be revealed in March 2009, while the Cabrio version will come in 2010.
