Volvo will unveil the XC60 in March at the Geneva Motor Show, the production version of the XC60 Concept unveiled in Detroit in January 2007. This charismatic crossover vehicle integrates both the unmistakable, muscular XC-versatility and the sporty charisma of a coupe and takes Volvo into a new segment.

The XC60 will feature a bolder front end with a bigger badge and grille. It will remain faithful to the concept, except the 20" wheels and adding new-era, widely spaced V-o-l-v-o name spelt out on the bootlid. This will be Volvo's answer to the BMW X3.

It will be offered with a wide range of engines, both petrol and diesel; all models will be permanent four-wheel drive.

Prices will begin at £25,000.
