The Toyota 86 is the epitome of entry-level, affordable sports cars. It was designed around the philosophy of handling over power, and it has excelled quite well in that regard. Of course, there have been plenty of complaints about the fact that it didn’t receive more power – something eventually remedied by the revival of the Toyota Supra – and the fact that it was never offered in this generation with a turbocharged engine. But, for those that were willing to look past these two things, the $27,000 Toyota 86 is a pretty decent little sports car, and it can handle with the best of them. For 2019, Toyota has unleashed a special edition model in a sexy shade of green that pays homage to one of Japan’s most famous highways. And, since the Toyota 86 is getting long in the tooth, this little car was, despite its limited availability, a much-needed addition to the lineup. With that in mind, we thought this limited edition 86 needed some screen time, so we’ve decided to make it our wallpaper of the day.
