Ken Block needs no introduction. He’s the pro rally driver turned famed driver of the Gymkhana film series. The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor needs no introduction either. It’s been written about in these online pages hundreds of times. So what happens when Block meets Raptor on a snowy winter’s day? Fun.

Ford tossed a set of Raptor keys at Block and let him have fun on snow-covered hills in some that resembles Hoth from Star Wars. The Raptor didn’t have any trouble trouncing through the deep powder thanks to its Triple Peak-rated BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, tall ground clearance, Fox Racing shocks, and six computer-controlled drive modes.

Of course, the Raptor’s main weapon in its arsenal is the 450-horsepower 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6. This twin-turbocharged, all-aluminum, direct-injection engine kicks out a stump-pulling 510 pound-feet of torque. That’s more than enough to launch this full-size truck over any snow bank in this hemisphere.

The 2017 Ford Raptor is finally on sale after more than a year of waiting. Prices start at $48,325 for the SuperCab and $51,310 for the larger SuperCrew model.
