Ram Trucks->ke4843 is gearing up for the 2016 Chicago Auto Show->ke225 by releasing a link for the live viewing of its on-stage product unveiling that’s scheduled to happen Thursday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time.

There is no official word on what Ram will unveil, so we’re left to speculate. Ram and Fiat->ke30 have been working on a unibody pickup slotted for the global market (read: everywhere but the U.S.), but it’s unlikely Ram would debut such a vehicle at Chicago. More likely is some sort of special edition->ke2041 Ram or a cargo management feature for the ProMaster.

However, Ram could be debuting a refreshed Ram 1500 pickup. According to FCA’s five-year plans, the Ram 1500->ke4684 is scheduled to have a “major update” for the 2017 model year. That puts Chicago, along with other upcoming auto shows, as prime targets for Ram’s debut.

The next-generation Ram 1500 will likely receive styling updates inside and out, keeping the truck fresh. The current Ram 1500 has been around since 2009 with a refresh in 2013. Don’t expect the Ram to lose its classic crosshair grille and stepped front fenders. The interior should also keep the 8.4-inch Uconnect system, though an updated dashboard would surround it. The optional TFT display in the driver’s gauge cluster will likely grow larger, as well.

Ram may introduce the upgraded 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 into the Ram, while carrying over the 5.7-liter Hemi V-6 and 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6. The ZF-sourced, eight-speed automatic will likely carry over as well.

Stay tuned to TopSpeed for further updates as Ram makes its announcement.
