Powered by a supercharged, 6.2-liter V-8 rated at 640 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque, the new Cadillac CTS-V is definitely one of the most exciting high-performance sedans you can buy nowadays. However, if that enormous amount of oomph isn't enough for you and you're willing to accept a few aftermarket components on your pricey Caddy,->ke18 the folks over at Hennessey Performance->ke1863 will be more than happy to inject a few extra horses in that V-8.

Specifically, Hennessey offers three upgrades for the CTS-V, one of which is the HPE750. Using various drivetrain upgrades, including a high-flow air induction system, new engine management calibration, and high-performance catalytic converters, the Texas-based firm adds an extra 117 horsepower and 152 pound-feet, taking the total output up to a whopping 757 horses and tire-shredding 782 pound-feet of twist. Hennessey even went as far as to develop a 1,000-horsepower sedan,->ke142 but we'll stick to the HPE750 for now since the company just released a new video of the beefed-up Caddy.

Not surprisingly, the CTS-V HPE750 is amazingly fast and its performance figures have been improved dramatically. While the standard model needs 3.7 seconds to hit 60 mph from a standing, which is nothing to sneeze at, the HPE750 achieves the benchmark in 3.2 ticks, a half-second quicker! From 0 to 150 mph, the time drops from 17.8 to 15.4 seconds. The quarter mile takes only 11.2 seconds with the sedan crossing the line at 131 mph. Likewise, top speed jumps from 200 to an amazing 210 mph with the upgrade.

What's more, the HPE750 sounds downright menacing under full throttle thanks to its massive V-8 and high-revving supercharger. Hit the play button to check it out.
