You can pretty much see anything and everything automotive related at the SEMA show. From pure-bred muscle cars, wild exotics, monster trucks, and full-on race cars. SEMA has something for everyone to love. On the other side of that spectrum, there is a lot that may not be to your taste. From the crazy awesome to the crazy clueless, here you can find a bit of each.

“Corruptt” Ferrari swapped twin turbo Mustang

Feast your eyes on the best car of SEMA in my opinion and apparently in the SEMA judge’s opinion as well. This is a 1968 Mustang with a Ferrari F430 4.3 V8 with HUGE twin turbochargers added. This car is so incredibly well done, with gorgeous paint and the Avant Garde wheels, it’s no small wonder why this car took the Toyo Tires sponsored “Top Car Build.

Bedazzled Male Enhancements

SEMA 2018 was chock full of... creative giant lifted trucks of every style, color, and taste. The outside areas of the show were packed full of this style of truck. Here are just a few… Are they awesome? Or not so awesome? You be the judge.

Hyundai and Kia’s attempt to appeal to the tuner market

I was excited to see that we (in the states) were getting the Veloster R spec but when I wandered my way into the Hyundai booth to catch a glimpse, I was met with hideous attempts at appealing to people like myself. What was even more hilarious was that Hyundai was taking opinion polls on what wheels they should offer and you only had what you see to choose from. Hyundai: do yourself a favor and fire the head of this project because they have no clue. Kia had a few just-as-dismal attempts to do the same thing.

Tuner Fail

Other brands were on hand to display their attempts to appeal to the aftermarket world. Ford, Toyota, VW, and many others tried their hands at it or outsourced it to other companies, results definitely vary.

The downright bizarre and the “what were they thinking”

Now, this is all personal opinion here, but the following are examples of what I would call “tuning gone wrong.” I know from experience it’s EXTREMELY hard to come up with new and unique ideas and you absolutely cannot please everyone because everyone has a different style. But, no style at all is not a style in my book. These are my submissions for some of the worst of SEMA 2018.
