Introduced at last year's SEMA Show->ke216, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Pacific Concept was Chevrolet's idea of customizing the C7 Corvette to look like a race car->ke148, without applying any powertrain modifications or taking its road-legal status away. Finished in a flashy, "look at me!" Torch Red exterior with a pair of Satin Black racing stripes across its nose, hood and rear end, the Corvette Pacific Concept took center stage in Las Vegas and, apparently, all that attention prompted Chevrolet->ke199 to roll out a similar package for the 2015 Corvette Stingray Coupe.

Unlike the Atlantic Design Package that adds a few exterior updates and almost no cabin upgrades, the Pacific Design Package is more extensive and aimed at customers that either like to take their Corvette->ke1280 at the track or enjoy the racing-oriented appearance.

Before we jump to the details, we'd like to point out that the Pacific Design Package is exclusive to Z51-equipped coupes in either 2LT and 3LT trim. And like any 2015 Corvette Stingray, it can be ordered with the all-new eight-speed automatic tranny with paddle shifters and the Performance Data Recorder.

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Pacific Design Package in Detail

Just like the Corvette Atlantic, the Pacific model also benefits from the Z06-style front splitter, but the coupe sports a more attractive appearance, thanks to its Satin Black racing stripes and matching Z51 wheels. The rims also feature a contrasting red stripe with Stingray center caps, while the brake calipers are finished in red.

Only five color options are available for the Pacific Design Package: Torch Red (pictured here), Black, Arctic White, Blade Silver and Shark Gray. The latter a brand-new color for the 2015 model year.

Adding to the Vette's mean, track-ready looks is a "CFZ" carbon-fiber ground effects package and carbon-fiber roof panel, coupled with Carbon Flash-painted rear spoiler and mirrors. Blacked-out exterior badges round off the vehicle's unique and convincing appearance. Custom splash guards and a rear license plate frame are also offered, but these additions are likely to go unnoticed.

Inside, customers will be greeted by a pair of Competition Sport seats -- available as an option on the regular Corvette --, carbon-fiber trim and custom Stingray sill plates and floor mats.

Buyers that are not planning on using the Corvette Stingray Pacific as a daily driver will be happy to know that Chevy is also giving away an indoor car cover.

GM also developed a new engine for its flagship vehicle in the form of a 6.2-liter, naturally-aspirated V-8. The mill pumps 455 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque with a standard exhaust and 460 horsepower and 465 pound-feet with the available performance exhaust.
