The Ferrari FF grand tourer was presented in 2011 and launched for the 2012 model year. The FF name stands for "Ferrari Four," which hints at the vehicle's four-seat interior and its four-wheel-drive configuration. Often described as a three-door shooting brake, the FF is Ferrari->ke252's first production all-wheel-drive model.

The four-wheel-drive system is an innovative unit engineered and patented by Ferrari. Dubbed 4RM, it is around 50 percent lighter than a conventional system. It splits the power between the four wheels as needed and it's activated when the FF is driven in the "Comfort" or "Snow" modes. Otherwise, the FF functions as a rear-wheel-drive sports car->ke506.

Although it's remained unchanged since its introduction, the FF can be customized via numerous personalization programs or Ferrari's Special Projects division. Coming into 2015, the FF gains a special-edition model via Ferrari's first Tailor-Made Center in Asia Pacific. Recently opened in Shanghai, China, the brand-new center showcased its potential with a couple of bespoke Ferraris, one of them being the FF Dressage Edition.

Ferrari FF Dressage Edition in detail

As its name suggests, the FF Dressage is inspired by horse racing and the grace that comes with the historical equestrian sport. The sports car->ke506 also celebrates the Chinese Year of the Horse, which pretty much explains the logos mounted on the steering wheel and the center console.

You'll notice that the FF Dressage Edition is no regular Ferrari FF as soon as you lay eyes on its body. That's because the shooting brake-like fuselage is finished in an elegant shade of black that goes by the name of Piano Nero. The color is not available on the regular FF, which can only be ordered in a glossy Nero Pastello.

Inside, Ferrari has taken the FF's already-luxurious cabin to a whole new level by trimming it in Saddle Brown leather. The reddish hide covers everything from the seats and the door panels to the lower dashboard and the inner roof. Adding more uniqueness to the interior is the grid-pattern sewing adorning the front seats and the white stitching.

The 6.3-liter, V-12 engine residing under the long hood remains unaltered, which means the FF benefits from the same 660 horsepower and 503 pound-feet of torque. The output is enough to propel the shooting brake from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and onto a top speed of 208 mph.
