The all-new Ford Mondeo->ke1709 is set to be unveiled at the Paris Auto Show at the end of September, but the first details on the car have been unveiled today at Ford's "Go Further" brand event.

As promised, the car has been inspired by Ford's latest design language previewed by the Evos Concept launched at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. These elements include a new, more prominent trapezoidal grille, a power-dome bonnet and segment-first adaptive, full LED headlamps. In fact the new Mondeo is the first Ford->ke31 to feature headlamps with LED high-beam, low-beam and signal lighting.

Under the hood Ford has placed the company's new 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine and for the first time Mondeo will be offered in a hybrid version that combines a 2.0-litre petrol engine with a 35kW lithium-ion battery.

Also, as a first, Mondeo will offer segment-first SYNC with MyFord Touch, a voice-activated in-car connectivity system that delivers an eight-inch color touchscreen and the ability to act as a WiFi hotspot for up to five devices.

The new Mondeo will go on sale in early 2013.
