When it comes to programs for pickup trucks, like the F-150, aesthetics often take a back seat to performance and functionality upgrades.

The old adage holds true with The Sportsman Channel's custom modification for the Ford->ke31 pickup, which you will be able to see at the 2013 SEMA Auto Show->ke216.

Living up to its name as an all-around weekend adventure seeker, the since F-150 Adventure Edition was born out of requests from fans of The Sportsman Channel to see what kind of items they'd want to see in a pickup, so they could enjoy their hunting, fishing, hiking and camping excursions.

The end result is a pickup that is loaded with a bevy of custom modifications, including custom bumpers, fender flares, a six-inch lift kit, an 11,000-pound winch and a set of 20-inch all-terrain wheels from Dick Cepek Tires wrapped in Fun Country tires.

Inside, the upgrades continue with a ridiculous Maxxsonics custom audio system to go with a locked storage from TruckVault and nylon bags from Battle Lake Outdoors.

For all of your weekend outdoor exploits, the F-150 Outdoor Adventure has all your needs wrapped up in an impressive package.

2014 Ford F-150

When it comes to American originals, the Ford F-150 holds esteem as one of America’s premier pickup trucks. For 2014 model, Ford continues that tradition with an F-150 that maintains this reputation, thanks to having more cab, bed, engine, drivetrain and available options than comprehensible.

Powered by either a 3.7-liter V-6; a 5.0-liter V-8; a 6.2-liter V-8; or the high-tech 3.5-liter, twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6, the F-150 can achieve up to 23 mpg highway (3.7-liter) and pull up to 11,300 pounds (3.5-liter EcoBoost and 6.2-liter V-8)

Perhaps one of Ford’s biggest hits of late is the F-150 Raptor with its Fox Racing suspension, big tires and strong 6.2-liter V-8. Pricing for a base F-150 starts at $24,215 and climbs steeply to over $55,000 for the Limited trim.
