The second-generation Range Rover Sport made its official debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show->ke226. It went on sale in a choice of four equipment levels, with the Autobiography sitting right at the top and an extensive choice of colors, finishes, and options waiting to be checked. Needless to say, the Range Rover Sport->ke4087 is one of the most customizable SUVs->ke145 on the market.

However, the British seem to think customers could be persuaded to check even more boxes on the options list and are responding accordingly with a brand-new package. Surprisingly enough, the new pack doesn't improve the vehicle's interior in terms of luxury->ke505 or technology. The new bundle is all about styling and advertises a subtle approach that may go unnoticed to the untrained eye.

Conspicuous or not, the Stealth Pack will benefit from a fancy debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed->ke3879, where a properly equipped Range Rover Sport will showcase its new body features while climbing up the Goodwood hill.

Land Rover Range Rover Sport Stealth Pack in detail

The Stealth Pack adds a number of visual upgrades to the Range Rover Sport's exterior, leaving the interior and the engine compartment untouched. Enhancements begin up front, where a Satin Black grille and grille surround replace the Gloss Black pieces that come with the HSE Dynamic and the Autobiography Dynamic models. Granted, it's not a huge improvement as the satin finish is mostly noticeable only in certain light conditions.

The fog lamp bezels, hood and fender vents, upper mirror caps and the tailgate benefit from the same satin treatment, while the non-reflective headlamps and the taillights gain a stealth finish of their own by means of blacked-out housings and black surrounds, respectively. As it stands, these changes look quite nice on the Fuji White-painted Range Rover Sport showcased by the company in these photos. However, the overall effect is likely to fade when the Stealth Pack is selected on brighter colors.

Rounding out the appearance bundle are two different sets of wheels offered in the same Satin Black finish and complemented by Gloss Black nuts. Buyers can order the rollers in either 21- or 22-inch sizes in a nine-spoke or five-spoke design, respectively. Unfortunately, the Stealth Package is a U.K.-only option for now and will retail at £1,700 with the 21-inch wheels or £2,500 with the 22-inch wheels. That's about $2,900 and $4,200, respectively, as of 06/17/2014.

Order books for the Stealth Package will open in July 2014, right after its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Deliveries will commence toward the end of the year for both HSE Dynamic and Autobiography Dynamic models. The package is available with any of the three engines currently offered with the aforementioned trim levels: the 3.0-liter SDV6 diesel, the 4.4-liter SDV8 diesel and the supercharged 5.0-liter V-8.
