The Nissan GT-R->ke1592 has been the subject of special edition models recently with the Track Edition and the Gentleman Edition making headlines in the past couple of months.

But Nissan->ke62 apparently isn't done rolling out the "special edition" carpet on Godzilla, as highlighted by the latest GT-R bearing that monicker.

This is the creatively named GT-R Special Edition, limited to only 100 units worldwide -- 50 units in the U.S. -- making it a real must-have for any GT-R aficionado anywhere.

So what makes this particular Nissan->ke62 beast different from the others with the same designation? For starters, the name says it all. It carries an exclusive Midnight Opal body color that you're not going to find anywhere else. Nissan says the finish on the surface "sparkles like a jewel" and the color changes depending on lighting conditions and viewing angle.

The model also features a dry carbon-fiber rear spoiler that enhances aerodynamic stability, a new set of highly rigid, lightweight forged-aluminum wheels that come with an eye-catching hyper-titanium coating, and a gold model number plate located within the engine compartment to emphasize its exclusivity.

You can pickup the GT-R Special Edition for $105,590, which is a $6,000 increase over the GT-R Premium. It will hit select Nissan dealers starting in September 2013.

Whichever way you slice it, the Nissan GT-R Special Edition deserves that distinction. And then some.
