The Nissan Titan is already one of the most capable pickups in the market, but even something as impressive as the Titan isn’t immune to added improvements. That’s why Nissan, in partnership with Icon Vehicle Dynamics, is now offering a way to lift the Titan’s suspension, increasing the Titan’s suspension by up to three inches, giving owners of the pickup more reason to enjoy the outdoors.

First off, don’t confuse Icon Vehicle Dynamics with Icon 4x4. The former is a provider of quality off-road suspension system components, lift kits, coil over shocks, uni-ball upper control arms, and leaf springs, among other equipment. The latter, on the other hand, is a restomodder that has given us new-school takes on the old Ford Bronco, Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud, and Derelict ’49 Mercury.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, Nissan and Icon’s partnership is a boon for owners of the Titan and Titan XD. Not only does Icon’s new lift kit provide extra ride height on the pickup, but it’s also doing so on a model that’s already dripping in fancy off-road equipment. The kit includes a number of components, including adjustable-height coil-over shock absorbers that are tuned specifically for the Titan and Titan XD. Custom rod end bearings and patent-pending Delta Joints are also included. Even better, the components are complete bolt-on replacements, meaning that your Titan pickups won’t have to undergo any cutting or drilling procedures during installation. Speaking of which, installation takes less than four hours so you can have your rides ready for the off-road in no time.

Nissan’s partnership with Icon Vehicle Dynamics is a strong indication of the company’s goal of giving the Titan and Titan XD the necessary improvements to help the model achieve its full potential. That’s what this new lift kit is for. "We worked with ICON, a proven name in suspension lift-kit engineering, to develop the first kits to be offered through our Nissan dealer network," said Billy Hayes, division vice president, LCV, and Trucks, Nissan North America, Inc. "They came back to us with a kit that is easy to install and maintains TITAN and TITAN XD’s impressive factory payload and towing capabilities, and allows the trucks to be returned to stock for resale or end-of-lease return."

With the suspension lift kit in place, the Titan and Titan XD’s ride quality should improve, specifically in the off-road. With a pickup that’s already as capable as the Titan, that may sound like excess in capability. But when it comes to the super competitive world of pickup trucks, models like the Titan and Titan XD need all the advantages it can get. Make no mistake, Icon’s suspension lift kit is a good add-on to have, especially when you’re the type who enjoys to go off-roading as often as you can.
