Just when it seemed like the Middle East->ke3761 couldn't get any cooler from an auto industry standpoint, news of a new track-focused sports car->ke506 has come out. This is the Dubai Roadster, a sports car project that reportedly is the brainchild of an Emirati racer. Judging by its looks, the Dubai Roadster->ke1418 looks every bit as aggressive as its name indicates. Not much has been released as far as details are concerned, but the Roadster does have all the physical attributes to be treated as a bonafide track racer. The aggressive front bumper is pretty evident and the swooping, vented hood gives the physical look of a car that's born for racing. LED-infused headlights are also part of the treatment, while out back, a large rear wing and roll bars can be clearly seen. The overall shape screams of a track car that's aerodynamically suited to be be quick and agile, two attributes that cars like the Roadster should be.
In terms of power, the Dubai Roadster will reportedly come with a transversely mounted, V-8 engine that can produce as much as 400 horsepower, all while weighing 1,653 pounds. The numbers certainly speak for themselves, and its origin points to a car that has some significant financial backing.
It's still unclear how far along the Dubai Roadster is in its developmental phase, but if everything goes according to schedule, as we expect it should be, the Roadster could be ready in time for the Dubai Motor Show->ke4025 next year.

One of the biggest thrill factors of the KTM X-Bow was that it was designed with power and speed in mind, even if it came at the expense of somehow curtailing its overall comfort.
Power for the X-Bow GT comes in the form of a lightweight 2.0-liter TSFI four-banger that produces 281 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 309 pound-feet of torque at 3,200 rpm, allowing it to hit 62 mph in just 4.1 seconds to go with a top speed of 143 mph.
Judging by its numbers and comparing it to the Dubai Roadster, there's enough reason to believe that the reported 400 horsepower of the Roadster will be more than enough to handle the X-Bow GT.
BAC Mono is a single-seat track car specially developed to take on models like the KTM X-Bow. The Mono is powered by a 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine that delivers a total of 280 horsepower and sprints the car to an impressive top speed of 170 mph. It's not as powerful as the Roadster, but it's still more than capable to be a thrill ride all its own.
BAC Mono is also available on the U.S. market at a price of $130,000. Good luck with finding one, though, because last we heard, only 12 units made their way here.
