Over the years, tons of tuning companies have gotten their hands on a Porsche 911->ke282 at some point or another. Typically, with every new generation 911, there's hundreds or thousands of kits to improve upon the standard model. Very rarely, however, do we come across a tuning kit for a much older model such as this 1973 Porsche 911. German tuner, dp Motorsport, has decided to take on this task with an impressive body kit, interior updates, and a boost of power to 310 HP.

The new body kit used for the 1973 Porsche 911 is made entirely from carbon fiber and includes a new front bumper, hood, fenders, lightweight doors, rear fender flares, rear bumper, and rear spoiler. Both hoods were also equipped with quick release fasteners. The Porsche's->ke1 standard windows have been replaced by a set of green-toned Plexiglas windows and lightweight lamp lenses were also installed, both for the sake of saving some weight. This is also the reason the carbon roof panel has been manufactured using the sandwich vacuum technique.

The interior was also given a once-over with new bucket seats, a light carbon dashboard, a special knee bar set, and a raised central tunnel. The interior was also wrapped in black Alcantara with a matching varnished sports steering wheel with Porsche horn button, a lid instead of the clock, a carbon underbody, and the new welded safety cage. Other features include a 70-liter dp Clubsport-tank, a 25-amp gel battery starter, a reduced windshield cleaning liquid tank, light electric airing system, a middle oil cooler with front hood ventilation and a carbon fiber brake cooling housing.

All of the additions done on the exterior and interior aid in lowering the sports car's total weight to 870kg/1,918lbs, down from the standard 1,080kg/2,381lbs to 1,335kg/2,943lbs, depending on the model.

Joining the reduction of weight is also an upgrade for the vehicle's 3.6L Boxer engine. dp Motorsport provided the engine with a 50-mm PMO carburetor with open air filters, a programmable advance curve double fuse combined with a G-50 Gearbox, and limited slip differential to achieve 310 HP. A new set of wheels, dp coilovers, adjustable stabilizers, and an upgraded braking system originating from a 964 model and adjusted for the 911-G-Model complete the package.
