Following up on its initial Porsche 911 4S offering at the Geneva Motor Show->ke228 earlier this year, aftermarket extraordinaire TechArt->ke7 is back with a new version of this program.

This time, the German tuner took the task of dressing up the 4S Cabriolet with a similar kit, all built and developed to give the 911 4S Cabriolet the kind of aerodynamic upgrade that customers of the German sports car->ke506 will undoubtedly appreciate.

It's times like this when a tuner like TechArt has a program that's absolutely to-die-for that we hope to have a 911 4S in our garage. We can't say enough good things about the sports car, especially its combination of looks and performance that makes for a compelling version of the iconic 911 heritage.

It's safe to say that the 911 4S packs quite a mean punch, a treat it owes to its 3.8-liter flat-six engine that produces 400 horsepower and chalks 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds to go with an impressive top speed of 185 mph.

But far more than just being a performance maven, the 911 4S is also 143 pounds lighter than the standard 911. The variant also comes equipped with Porsche's->ke1 AWD Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system and has 22 mm (0.87-inch) wider rear wheel arches than the standard 911.

With all these features packed in a package as impressive as the 911 4S, it's no secret that this Porsche 911 variant has all sorts of fans from all corners of the world. Having a noted tuner like TechArt give it a comprehensive and new aero program only adds to its appeal.

Plenty of Aerodynamic Goodies

The unquestioned highlight of TechArt's new aero kit for the 911 4S Cabriolet comes in the form of plenty of new components, all designed to give the German sports car improved performance and handling on the streets and on the track.

For this project, TechArt went ahead and installed a slew of these components, including a new front spoiler with an integrated splitter and an aero wings bonnet. The German tuner also added headlight trims and side mirror trims, new side skirts, a large rear spoiler II, a new rear diffuser, a roof spoiler, and a wheel spacer kit.

Exhaust Upgrades

Not content with just decking the 911 4S with aero components galore, TechArt also installed its new racing exhaust system with valve control and double central tailpipes, replacing the standard system to provide better performance efficiency that can be controlled by a sport button fitted to the center console. To go with the exhaust and tailpipe configuration, TechArt also added sport end mufflers to finish of this setup.

Wheels Up!

As always, TechArt knows its wheels and no more is that evident than with the new set of shiny digs it fitted into the 911 4S Cabriolet. In this case, 20- and 21-inch TechArt Formula five-spoke light-alloy wheels were used with an option of bypassing that in favor of Formula III five-twin spoke forged light-alloy wheels.
