Do you remember the Golf Sportsvan Concept Volkswagen ->ke94 unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show->ke235? Well, today it's time to finally see the production version of this new model out for a test in blustery, winter conditions.

To no surprise, the production version looks nearly identical to the concept->ke169, with the only noticeable difference being the slightly revised fog lights on the production version.

The new Golf Sportvan will ride on a wheelbase with about 1.96 inches longer than the standard Golf ->ke164 and the body is about 0.3 inches wider. The most obvious of differences between the Golf and this Sportsvan is that it is taller than the standard Golf.

The new model will come as a replacement for the old Golf Plus, and VW built it as a combination between a minivan and a hatchback. Its demographic is younger families who like the roomier interior, but still prefer the compact size on the outside.

Expect the new Volkswagen Golf Sportvan to be unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show->ke228, with the first deliveries starting in mid 2014.

As a surprise to anyone, the new Golf Sportvan looks identical to the standard Golf VII, except, of course, the increased size of this compact minivan. Everything else is taken from the Golf hatchback, including the headlights, taillights, grille, and the overall look.

Nissan Note

The new-generation Nissan Note went on sale in the fall of 2012, and according to Nissan it is one of the the most user-friendly car in its segment.

The new Note has adopted a striking character line, known as the "Squash Line," and was built on a new platform that makes it lighter than the model it replaces. The Note is offered with a choice of two new engines, including the new supercharged HR12DDR (DIG-S) and the HR12DE mated to the next-generation XTRONIC CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) combined with a start-stop system.
