The Aprilia RSV4 has been a well-accomplished name in the circuits of SBK championship, where the motorcycle has already recorded seven world titles in a span of six years. It is this testimony of the RSV4, which has made it quite unshakable when it comes to consistency in the liter class supersport segment.

Now, the same V four soul has made its way into another Italian body to go win races. The Italian we are talking about here is not another two-wheeled dreamer but is a Formula X single seater race car called the Wolf GB08 Thunder. Running on the 65 degree V4 machine for the first time, the race car will run at the Italian Sport Prototype Championship 2018.

The RSV4 motorcycle has already received several accolades for bringing in the focused credentials of a track oriented superbike onto a street-legal motorcycle. Having an excellent set of electronics in its package, the latest versions of the RSV4 are being claimed as the fastest, safest and most powerful units of RSV4 ever developed.

With their 'Factory Works' stint, Aprilia Racing has been evolving and getting in the best of technology into their superbike and Superstock machines. And for 2017, they updated their ultimate offering with a 250 bhp Aprilia RSV4 R FW-GP. The nearest one can get to the MotoGP experience.

The outfit Wolf made its appearance in the world of motor-racing back in 1976 when the Canadian Walter Wolf founded the Walter Wolf Racing. The firm has had its leg in the world of Formula 1 and Formula 3. Now, the Italian team Avelon Formula owns the brand and their first project was the Wolf GB08 back in 2010 that won multiple championships all this while.

For their newest project, the Wolf GB08 Thunder, Aprilia has lent its rich history of victories in 21 titles and 147 Grand Prix races for its development, which truly reflects in the brand’s mechanical prowess. Being the most advanced technocrat in the Piaggio Group, it was not difficult for Griiip to consider using the four stroke, liquid cooled, V-4, 999.6cc engine for its 65° angle between the banks that made an exceptional chassis architecture to work around with.

It will taste the first championship series at The Italian Sport Prototype Championship - a series that has become single-brand following the five-year exclusive supply agreement between Wolf Racing Cars and the promoters of ACI Sport - consists of six events this year, the first of which will be held next June 1 at the racetrack of Monza.
