Pierre Terblanche, Ducati's head designer in the last ten years, has left the company to open his own private studio of design and consultancy.

Terblanche has designed some of the most controversial (aesthetically speaking) Ducati in recent years, such as the 999 and the Multistrada, and perhaps it is no coincidence that leaves the company just after the enormous success of the new Ducati 1098, that was not designed by him.

Terblanche: "I’d like to do some new things. I’ll have a studio of my own, and while I’ll still do bikes I’d also like to work on some other things, maybe boats."
