During the first official Harley-Davidson enthusiast event in China, the Beijing Chapter of Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) was established. Harley-Davidson owners, enthusiasts, government officials, and other important guests gathered at the foot of the Great Wall to experience the raising of the H.O.G. Beijing Chapter flag, the first official H.O.G. chapter in China. Actor Ge You, who is also a Harley-Davidson motorcycle owner, was appointed as the "Honorary Chairman" of the H.O.G. Beijing Chapter by Jeff Merten, managing director for Harley-Davidson Motor Company's Asia Pacific & Latin America region and David Foley, Harley-Davidson's managing director for China.

Jeff Merten emphasized that "since the opening of the first Harley-Davidson authorized dealership in mainland China, Harley has clearly attracted high attention and interest among motorcycle fans in China. We are delighted that we can enter a market so full of potential and vigor. We are confident that through this event, more and more motorcycle owners will become fascinated with Harley-Davidson, while at the same time, simply enjoy the Harley-Davidson experience."

As one that has both driven and witnessed Harley-Davidson's development in China, David Foley told the guests: "It's our honor to present this unique Harley-Davidson experience to local enthusiasts in Mainland China. Through the launch of the H.O.G. Beijing Chapter, Harley fans and owners in Mainland China have officially joined the worldwide family of Harley Owners Group, a family with more than one million members in more than 60 countries."
