The Harley-Davidson FXSTC Softail Custom was named "Cruiser of the Year" at the annual V-Twin Expo Excellence in Motorcycling Awards. H-D's Factory Security System also won the "Accessory of the Year" award. Harley-Davidson representatives Larry Gutjahr, Gene Guizzetti and Oleg Tzanev accepted the awards at the event.

The Softail Custom, powered by the rigid-mounted Twin Cam 96B V-Twin engine, redefines long-haul comfort and easy-riding style. The Custom includes a Fat Bob fuel tank, forward controls and a low-slung, 1960s-inspired stepped seat.

The Smart Security System, available as a factory-installed option for all 2007 Harley-Davidson models, offers H-D motorcycle owners more convenient protection. The button-less system self-arms when the ignition is off and self-disarms when the ignition is turned on with the fob present.

In 2006, the Harley-Davidson FXDBI Street Bob was named "New Model Bike of the Year."
