Christmas is over, but the excitement stays on. Thanks to this custom build of the 2016 Indian Chief Vintage. Called the ‘Top Mountain,’ this over-the-top bagger is a one-off made by an Austrian Indian Motorcycle dealer, Markus Krasser from Styrian Motor Cycle (SMC).

It is built to be displayed at the Top Motorcycle Mountain Museum of Austria set near the Italian border, in Hochgurgl. Adjacent to the highest resort in Europe, the museum plays hosts to a myriad of motorcycles, vintage and modern, running us through the history of two-wheeled machines.

Top Mountain gets a matte blue and white paintjob that tries to depict the scenes from the museum that displays close to 250 motorcycles. The detailings are impeccable and grand which includes laser-cut plates on the sides and top of the fuel tank. Speaking of which, is borrowed from a Victory Hammer.

The massive 26” front wheel gets the Top Mountain Mountain Museum inscription etched in white and gets air-suspension units instead of the telescopic ones (the rear suspension also gets air suspension). It is adjustable via a switch located near the engine bay. That is also where the fuel gauge is located. The wide handlebar gives the Top Mountain the majestic appeal it deserves.

The luxurious seat gets the Alcantara treatment along with the handle grips and has glacier looking patterns syncing with the theme. The rear sees the exhaust unit routed to the center of the valance. A custom faux-pannier on either side of the rear wheel hides the exhaust routings. The 1811 cc Thunder Stroke 111 engine is left untouched.
