In 2016, Indian Motorcycles and Jack Daniels, two legendary American brands joined forces to commemorate JD’s 150th anniversary of the Jack Daniel Distillery, which was registered in 1866. This occasion led to Indian Motorcycles building a very limited number (150 units) of the Jack Daniel’s Indian Springfield and Indian Chief Vintage motorcycle models, all of which were sold barely under 8 hours within the launch.

For 2017, the same stalwarts came together again to produce yet another limited edition of the iconic spin-off of the sumptuousness Indian Chieftain and christened it as the Jack Daniel’s Chieftain. Carrying the legacy forward, the same folks have now created a gold & black Jack Daniel’s Limited Edition Scout Bobbers.

This time the limited number is only 177 units which are all designed in conjunction with Klock Werks Kustom Cycles. (The same guys who have been constructing all the builds in previous years).

America’s first motorcycle company and America’s first registered distillery have once again teamed up to bring us a legendary makeover to a bike that is a beautiful factory custom bobber packed between two wheels. This is a celebration of American craftsmanship that expresses the mutual commitment to independence, originality, and ingenuity of both the brands.

All of the units are hand painted with a two-tone matte black and gold accents that are said to be inspired by Jack Daniel’s unique fire brigade “honouring the passion and dedication of firefighters and emergency medical responders who serve our country.” The matte black paint gets accentuated with the real 24-karat gold graphics on the tank and fenders. wow

All around this unique motorcycle, you can find Jack Daniel’s “Old No.7” logos and custom badging and embroidery on the perforated genuine leather seat, custom grips, pegs, and shift levers. Apart from this, there are is a place on the front fender that reads Jack Daniel’s “Bottles and Throttles Don’t Mix” mantra and the Fire Brigade emblem on the tank gets this 24-Karat luxury detailing.

Features on this luxe Bobber came in the form of one-of-a-kind Montana Silversmith badge that’s individually numbered and coated with real 24-karat gold. The black and gold premium effects are also seen on the fender struts, hand control levers, engine valve covers, and exhaust tips. And finishing up is the gold colored Indian Scout badge on the tank sides showcasing the attention to detail.

The same liquid-cooled, 60-degree 1133 cc V-twin comes with a sharp looking, gold-on-black décor, and puts out 94 ponies and 72 pound-feet of torque. An electronic closed-loop fuel-injection system handles fuel delivery while maintaining fuel efficiency and emissions standards and huge 60 mm throttle bodies feed this monster. Like all Indians, power delivery, refinement and aural quality coming out of that black exhaust pipes are top notch and throaty.

The decidedly aggressive looks will seamlessly fit into the lookout of a niche clientele wanting to splurge on something of a personified saga. This could be your chance to own a piece of American History. More aggressive riding feel, chopped up bodywork, tracker handlebar and the blacked out theme.

Each numbered JD Scout will be priced starting at U.S. $15,999. Bookings for the same will start at 12 pm EST on Tuesday 13th March and deliveries will begin in July 2018. To reserve one, better hurry up and call your local Indian Motorcycle dealership because going by history, it will all be sold out much before 8 hours after its launch. They come with a two-year unlimited mileage factory warranty and free membership in the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group for one year.

Steve Menneto, President of Motorcycles for Polaris Industries says: “Our partnership with Jack Daniel’s celebrates American craftsmanship of the highest order.
