Indian Motorcycle ->ke3292 is about as Americana as it can get and it’s only fitting that the motorcycle company has been named the official motorcycle of the 2015 Hollister Freedom Rally. The event will take place from July 3 to July 5, 2015 in Hollister, California. It’s a timely partnership for both sides considering the attachment both have in the annals of American motorcycle riding. Hollister, after all, is widely known as the birthplace of the American rider so having Indian Motorcycle serve as the official bike of the event makes sense on a lot of levels.

This year, the Hollister Freedom Rally will play host to the usual cadre of must-attend events that has made it into one of the year’s most highly anticipated motorcycle gatherings.

The Hollister Freedom Rally Custom Bike Show is a good place to start as it always features some of the finest custom projects you’ll ever see. If concerts are your thing, the Hollister Freedom Rally has that too, specifically noted bands The Guess Who and the Fabulous Thunderbirds. Celebrity appearances have also been confirmed with “Sons of Anarchy” stars Tommy Flanagan and Mark Boone Junior already scheduled to appear in a Meet & Greet on July 4, 2015.

I could keep going, but I’ll just add the Ms. Hollister Freedom Contest since we’re all big fans of beautiful women in bikinis and a tour of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, or at least a replica of it, as two more can’t-miss events of the entire Hollister Freedom Rally weekend. The memorial wall be placed at Dunne Park for the entire duration of the event and keeping with the 4th of July celebration happening all over the country, that’s one thing nobody should miss out on.

The 2015 Hollister Freedom Rally is a free motorcycle gathering so anybody can stop by to enjoy the festivities. There will be paid entries into some of the events but for the most part, the rally is for everyone to enjoy.

It is Independence Day weekend, after all, and what better way for any American biker to celebrate the festivities than going to an event that’s famous for its All-American awesomeness. At the very least, we all know by now that Indian Motorcycle will be there.

Why it matters

It’s only fitting that two entities known for their affiliation towards anything Americana would join together to promote an event that celebrates everything we love about motorcycles and America.

I’ve never been to the 2015 Hollister Freedom Rally and I don’t know if I’ll be able to make a trip there anytime soon. Blame my logistics for that. But from what I’ve heard about the event, the Hollister Freedom Rally is everything people say it is and much more.

This year’s event appears to be no different as a host of events have already been lined up to fill the entire three days with everything you’d want in a motorcycle festival.

There are concerts, bike shows, bikini contests, and exhibits. There’s even going to be a tattoo contest, and a nostalgic look at one of the most iconic reminders of the sacrifice our military servicemen and women make to ensure that we enjoy the freedom we have today.

That’s probably what sets the Hollister Freedom Rally apart from other motorcycle festivals in the country. It specifically schedules the event in time for the Fourth of July, which we all know is one of the most important dates in the US.

That’s what I love about the event more than anything else. It’s more than just a motorcycle rally. It’s also an event that celebrates our freedom and the right to choose which bike we’d love to ride.
