After market products have the purpose of improving the existing vehicle and this is exactly what Leo Vince SBK did for Ducati's 1098 and 1098S.

When it developed the exhaust system for Ducati’s previous mentioned models, Leo Vince SBK successfully tried to improve the engine’s week points. The racing exhaust system for the Ducati 1098 and 1098S provides substantial weight savings, increased horsepower and an exotic high-end appearance. They ended up with a full system, 7 pounds lighter than stock which delivers over 7 more horsepower on top, and an average of 7 HP gain in the very important 4-6500rpm range where the stock bike presented a slight lack of power. Building the exhaust, they used TIG-welded stainless steel AISI 304 heather that leads to an all-aluminum canister with a carbon fiber sleeve, end cap and mounting strap featuring a lamba sensor mounting point.

Leo Vince designed the exhaust system to work with stock fuel injection settings and still delivering maximum performance.
