The Qatari desert has some of the world’s highest sand dunes where the adventure junkies meet up to run on Dune bashing sessions. You can find 4x4s, Quads, ATVs, and motorcycles pumping their adrenaline on the soft sands of the desert.

There are also freeride motocross sessions where riders hop onto their dirt trail bikes and race up a towering sand dune to jump almost up to 100ft in the air to finally land on the soft sand. One lad here was doing his usual runs where he built up speed and took the jump like business every day. But when he was about to land, his whole life must have flashed before his eyes.

The riders starts the usual run far off the jump to gain enough speed. Then there must be companions that can stand atop the dune and alert the riders for the coast to be clear. But it looks like someone didn’t do their job and the rider was completely caught off guard.

The rider ended up landing his rear tire on the hood of another Dune Basher Jeep which was the last one crossing the path of the rider’s landing point. Luckily the rider could control his near miss collision and ride away from the scene with all his organs intact.

If you notice carefully, the guy driving the Jeep noticed something flying from above and immediately applied the brakes - full power. Because of the sandy terrain, the Jeep did lock its wheels but still made a couple of feet of the ground before it came to a halt. Any further and the rider would have landed on the windshield which could have turned fatal for both the rider and the occupants of the Jeep.
