The phrase “with great power comes great responsibility” is used far too often these days. It definitely applies in various aspects of life, including riding high-powered motorcycles like the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R->ke3282. I understand the urge to turn the throttle and enjoy the Kawasaki->ke299 superbike's->ke1888 pure power and pace. But it’s also important to exercise a little bit of caution, especially if you don’t want to be on the receiving end of some heavy nicks and bruises.

Unfortunately, the rider in this video found that out the hard way. You know what’s going to happen - he crashes and spills on the road - but the lead-up to the crash is still a pretty good build-up to the time he slams into the rear end of another rider, who happened to catch the entire incident on camera.

The spill wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been and the rider probably walked out of it with nothing more than bruises to his body. But the Ninja XZ-10R looks like it got the brunt of the damage, slamming hard to the ground, causing sparks to fly and spinning multiple times before resting to a stop in the middle of the road.

Judging by the video, it does appear that the crash could’ve been avoided if the rider exercised a little more awareness of his surroundings. The rider could’ve also assumed the standard staggered formation in rides like this to avoid hitting the other bike and spilling to the pavement. It takes a great amount of inattentiveness to crash into a bike, especially at the speed both bikes were going.

Lesson learned for this rider. Look where you’re going.
