Yamaha created a scene at the recently concluded EICMA in Milan showcasing some crazy out of the world concepts and production models like the three-wheeled Niken, the Tenere 700 and the MT hypernakeds.

While these machines were showcased out to the world, the Japanese Blue Team is giving more to its own people with custom conversion kits to the MT-09, SCR950 and the SR400 naked monsters prowling on the streets of Japan.

Introduced by Yamaha's own accessory department, Y's Gear, these custom kits are sold under the name ‘Authentic.' They include bolt-on body panels and other accessories meant to give the bikes a retro take with the liveries of the yesteryears.

The MT-09 Authentic kit gets the RD350 inspirations with the new splash screen, air-intakes, fuel tank, side covers, and more. This is the most expensive and comprehensive kit out of the lot that is equivalent to $1,100. And if you still have some more change left, you can also opt for auxiliary lights, gold wheels, and a stunning three-pot exhaust unit.

The SCR950 kit gets a new tank, side covers, and ‘Authentic Sports’ stickers, and will cost about $970. The SR400, which is unexpectedly very popular in Japan even though is discontinued also gets a kit having a new fuel tank, side covers and a tailpipe for $820.

Although these kits are region specific, we sincerely hope Yamaha thinks of crossing the Pacific looking at the custom scene here.

Come on Yamaha!
