2015 Arctic Cat ZR 8000 RR

Specifications
  • Make: Array
  • Model: 2015 Arctic Cat ZR 8000 RR
  • Engine/Motor: 2-stroke

2015 Arctic Cat ZR 8000 RR Key Features:

Arctic Race Front Suspension

This suspension features FOX FLOAT® EVOL RC shocks, designed to cushion aggressive bumps and harsh ruts. To fine-tune shock action, simply turn the rebound adjuster.

Slide Action Rear Suspension™

Slide-Action maintains a free-acting front arm while coupling under torque over bumps, and during aggressive cornering and acceleration. As the rear transfer blocks are engaged, the front arm follows the bumps, keeping your skis firmly planted as your 129-in. track propels you down the trail.

8000 2-Stroke Engine

160-class HP makes it the most powerful 800 engine in the industry. It features a lightweight, quick-revving crankshaft, twin spark plugs per cylinder and weight-saving engine reverse technology. The engine knock sensor provides octane recognition, giving you more fuel options.

ProCross™ Chassis

Featuring a tapered 2-piece tunnel (narrow at the top, wider at the bottom) this design is the foundation of our performance sleds’ superb ergonomics. A forged steering housing ties together many of the load-bearing chassis components.

Deluxe Digital/Analog Gauge

The deluxe gauge lets you choose between digital and analog speed and tachometer readouts. There’s also an odometer, two trip meters, engine hour meter, reverse indicator and warning lights.

Race-Inspired Graphics

The amazing race-inspired graphics will intimidate all the other machines right out of the gate. Big, bad and full of Arctic Cat® attitude, these graphics will definitely separate you from the pack.

Side Panel Vent

New for 2015, this vented side panel increases the airflow to the clutches to reduce drive belt temperatures for optimum performance.

Tether Switch

For added safety, the tether stop switch instantly shuts off the snowmobile if any separation of rider and snomobile occur.

Push-Button Reverse

The push-button reverse is all about quick, easy activation. Just hit the button and backward you go.

Race-Height Windshield

Sporty look and enough protection for the track. The low profile allows you to see everything as you lead the pack.

1.25-in. Ripsaw II Track

The Ripsaw™ II, featuring a 1.25-in lug, combines the best features of the Ripsaw, Cobra™ and Predator tracks, making it great for a wide variety of trail conditions. Compared with the original Ripsaw, there is less side bite through the corners.

Quotes

“All ZR models come in the ProCross chassis with stable ARS front suspension, Slide-Action rear suspension and Radial Master Cylinder hydraulic brake. Most also get a 15- by 129- by 1.25-inch RipSaw track. For 2015, upgrades they share include a new larger diameter driven shaft assembly with a snap ring bearing mount for longer life, new involute/exvolute drive sprocket to get a better grip on the track, a more aggressive host bar on the dual carbide runners for improved handling, and lighter idler wheel block assemblies in the skid. The RR package features a super-aggressive setup right off of Cat’s cross-country racing sleds. Fox FLOAT X EVOL reservoir shocks are found up front, with a Fox Zero Pro piggyback shock on the rear arm. It gets a racer height windshield, a tether switch, a lightweight brake disc and proud Team Arctic graphics. There’s even a full-season Tucker Hibbert Edition 6000 RR this year, for those who want the full racer appeal.” ----- SnowGoer
