More than 40,000 bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country are gearing up for the sixth annual Las Vegas BikeFest(TM), a national motorcycle rally and expo that returns to Sin City September 14 - 17, 2006. The four-day event attracts some of the world's most skilled custom motorcycle builders for an unforgettable competition, as well as 265 leading manufacturers and distributors of motorcycles, parts, accessories and apparel. This year's

event features a brand new attraction, Metric Revolution, the first all "metric" biker build-off competition for television, according to Harry Schwartz, president of Full Throttle Events, one of Las Vegas BikeFest's partners.

Metric Revolution will be filmed onsite for television release. The final round of this custom bike build-off features 18 professional and four rookie builders, transforming stock metric motorcycles into "rolling works of art" to be showcased on September 14 and 15 at the Fremont Street

Experience.

In addition, the third annual Artistry in Iron-Master Builders' Championship will feature 25 of the most unique custom bikes in the world in a peer-judged competition. The "invitation only" event, sponsored by Hot Bike Magazine, will feature some of the world's leading master builders

including Sugar Bear, Gard Hollinger, Paul Yaffe, Mitch Bergeron, and two-time Artistry in Iron winner Roger Goldammer. Special autograph sessions will be held.

Also at the Fremont Street Experience, visitors will be able to view more than 150 custom-made bikes at the Custom Bike Show on Saturday, September 16.

The event's Vendor Village showcases some of the newest motorcycle products and technologies, including displays by more than 20 major motorcycle factories such as Big Dog Motorcycles, Victory Motorcycles and Yamaha Star Motorcycles to name a few.

Additional highlights include the Miss Las Vegas BikeFest Competition, the World's Strongest Biker Competition, $100,000 Poker Run, a Poker Walk, Harley-Davidson factory demo rides and live entertainment including a concert by Branscombe Richmond & The Renegade Posse and headliner Missing Persons, featuring Dale Bozzio.
