The automaker recently unveiled the Cullinan Inspired by Fashion: Prêt-à-Porter Collection by the House of Rolls-Royce, a collection of luxury SUV’s designed to be statement pieces for clients who aspire to a glitzy lifestyle. Their interior and exterior color choices can be mixed and matched and have names like Lime Green and Peony Pink. For consumers wanting a more understated style, the car can be customized to have less flashy colors.
Style First, Function Second
In launching the collection of specialized Cullinans, Rolls-Royce styled cars that clients could choose to reflect their personalities. Perhaps to remind consumers that their sister company and namesake Rolls-Royce Holdings makes aircraft engines, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is offering luggage designed to complement their fashion-inspired SUVs available for purchase in five-piece sets, or individually.
The series of bespoke Cullinan models is highlighted by four color combinations their designers suggest, but the bespoke cars have few limits to how they can be personalized. The Re-Belle (Lime Green/Gunmetal or Wildberry/Arctic White), and Fu-Shion (Military Green/Burnout Grey or Forge Yellow/Tempest Gray) have complementary coachlines, interiors, contrasts, and viewing suites. And these cars are truly bespoke - the coachlines are individually painted by a specialist. The car’s exterior is finished with hand-woven steel fabric as thin as 0.45 mm. It is designed to be reminiscent of metallic apparel popularly shown at fashion shows. Its woven design is intended to catch flattering rays of light as the car is in motion.
Inside, the car exemplifies opulence. It includes a Starlight Headliner made of 192 softly illuminated lights fit into perforated leather. Its complementary Viewing Suite is designed to create a starry night experience that passengers can enjoy anywhere at any time, complete with a cocktail table that can fold out from the luggage compartment. The leather trim has seat piping and stitching in contrasting colors to add a depth of appearance. For clients who want to have improved sound quality inside the cab, they can add an Immersive Seating option, which gives passengers the ability to raise a glass partition between the luggage compartment and rear passengers.
It’s More Than Just A Fashion Statement
Ultimately, this is a collection of very powerful cars. The Cullinan’s V-12 engine can be personalized to offer as much as 740 horsepower and 826 pound-feet of torque. The engine control module enables the car to have twin flap-controlled exhausts with a 200-cell catalytic converter.
