2015 Can-Am Commander XT-P Features and Benefits:
Count on the reliable power of the 82-hp Rotax® 1000 V-Twin engine, with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) for optimal power and performance.
Liquid-cooled, 8-valve Rotax 976 cc V-twin pumps out a class-leading 85 horsepower, yet is refined thanks to EFI and iTC. The liquid-cooled, single overhead cam power plant features 4 valves per cylinder, fed by a 54-mm Bosch‡ throttle body and 2 sophisticated VDO Siemens‡ fuel injectors.
Better Throttle Control
This electronic throttle-by-wire system works in conjunction with the 2.13 in. Bosch∞ throttle body to produce smooth delivery, even if the driver’s foot is bouncing due to rough terrain. The iTC system detects unwanted bounces and filters the input. Comes with a progressive and sport mode.

Eliminates Scrub and Camber Changes
The only independent rear suspension that eliminates scrub and camber changes, meaning the wheels pivot up and down rather than in a butterfly motion. This ensures the vehicle moves only in the direction you point it. Reconfigured for improved traction and optimal transfer of power to the ground.
These high-performance front and rear FOX PODIUM X Performance RC2.0 HPG Piggyback shocks give riders the flexibility to fit the terrain and riding style, with easy dual-speed compression, rebound and preload adjustments.
The electronically controlled power steering provides the driver with three different levels of assistance when steering. The amount of assistance varies with the vehicle’s speed to adjust the steering input effort to a comfortable level. Features Visco-Lok QE for a faster engagement point.
All DPS-equipped models have Visco-Lok† QE, which has all the features and benefits of the standard quick-engagement Visco-Lok† differential, but with an even quicker engagement point. This differential, unlike some competitors’ differentials, does not have a speed limiter.
Performance Wheels and Tires
Mechanical fastening makes it nearly impossible for the tire bead to break loose from the wheel during heavy acceleration or cornering. With 27-in, 6-ply Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tires, featuring sturdy lugs and a non-directional tread pattern for a smooth and confident ride over a variety of surfaces.

Reduces body roll in aggressive cornering conditions with a 5/8-in diameter front sway bar.
Equipped with a heavy-duty front bumper, 4,000-lb winch, and black painted plastics, extra functionality has never looked so good.

The industry’s most versatile and usable cargo box design has a 600-lb cargo capacity, dual storage levels, anti-rust box, and tilt-assist dumping. Cargo box with two levels separated by a removable, water-resistant panel, that offers an upper and lower bed with their independent tailgate.

Premium seating with a full backrest, lumbar and shoulder support, and side bolsters for lateral support during aggressive riding. Tilt steering and an adjustable driver’s seat are easily adaptable to a range of drivers and driving styles. No tools required.

Upgraded gauge features state-of-the-art instrumentation, with an analog tachometer and speedometer combined with an advanced digital information center. Plus, the three-spoke steering wheel is outfitted with molded grips and a brushed aluminum centerpiece to add to the high-performance style.

“The 2015 Commander 800R and 1000 line gets new cast wheels, as does the Commander MAX 1000. XT models also get model-specific cast aluminum wheels as well as a 4500-pound Warn winch. A handful of new trim colors have been added with the base model 800R and 1000 DPS getting a light grey with red graphics. The 800R XT and 1000 XT can be had in a Pearl White or Brushed Aluminum color. A Black-and-Orange scheme is the only choice for the Commander 1000 XT-P.
