2015 Can-Am Maverick X mr DPS Features and Benefits:
Meet the new standard for side-by-side mud riding. Powered by a 101-hp Rotax 976 cc V-Twin engine, this vehicle can get down and dirty all-day long.
The 976cc, 101-hp Rotax® 1000R V-Twin engine is Can-Am’s most powerful side-by-side engine. This liquid-cooled, single-overhead-cam power plant features four valves per cylinder and is fed by a 54mm Bosch∞ throttle body and two sophisticated VDO Siemens∞ fuel injectors.
Better Throttle Control
This electronic throttle-by-wire system works in conjunction with the 54mm Bosch∞ throttle body to produce smooth delivery, even if the driver’s foot is bouncing due to rough terrain. The iTC system detects unwanted bounces and filters the input. Comes with a progressive and sport mode.
When an engine breathes easier, it can produce more horsepower. So Can-Am optimized air intake, combustion, and exhaust flow. Larger intake plenum, high-flow heads, larger valves, increased compression ratio, and high-flow dual exhaust all contribute to this more powerful and efficient engine.
The Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) system showcases a Zylon-reinforced belt, a material with 1.6 time higher tensile strength and increased belt rigidity in compression compared to a regular belt, keeping it cooler. A redesigned drive pulley with increased diameter for extra durability.The CVT of the Maverick X mr also features an improved L-gear with more torque to the wheels and a softer engagement to avoid getting stuck in mud.

Designed For Mudding
The engine’s air intake, CVT inlets and CVT exhaust have been positioned as high as possible in the Maverick 1000 X mr to improve breathing while navigating wet and muddy conditions. The three-piece system is located high on the dash and behind the driver and passenger for added convenience.
Built with standard features like Gorilla Axle Silverback tires and Air Control Suspension (ACS) to allow performance riding in the deepest mud holes, this vehicle is ready to get dirty.
Innovative Rear Suspension
The innovative Torsional Trailing A-arms (TTA) rear suspension is a compact version of a five-link suspension, for no-bump steer and the lowest scrub for optimized bump absorption and tire-to-ground contact. Features a lower unsprung weight and 14 in of travel.
The electronically controlled power steering provides the driver with three different levels of assistance when steering. The amount of assistance varies with the vehicle’s speed to adjust the steering input effort to a comfortable level. Features Visco-Lok QE for a faster engagement point.
All DPS-equipped models have Visco-Lok† QE, which has all the features and benefits of the standard quick-engagement Visco-Lok† differential, but with an even quicker engagement point. This differential, unlike some competitors’ differentials, does not have a speed limiter.
Performance Mud Tires and Wheels
Designed by Gorilla Axle for mud riding and racing, these tires were developed to go in the deepest mud holes. Installed on large 14-in ITP SS312 cast-aluminum wheels to give an aggressive look.
Cleared For Adventure
Roots, rocks and other rough terrain are no threat to the underbelly thanks to 13-in. (33 cm) of ground clearance.
Designed with the rider in mind, everything from the gauges to the aluminum footrests has been strategically placed to offer optimal performance in the mud and tough terrain.
No Tools Required
Premium seating with a full backrest, lumbar and shoulder support, and side bolsters for lateral support during aggressive riding. Tilt steering and an adjustable driver’s seat are easily adaptable to a range of drivers and driving styles. No tools required.

Easy On, Easy Off
The high-strength, multipurpose rear rack works with the LinQ quick-attach accessory system, letting you easily install or remove a storage box, rack extension, bags, or other items. Numerous edges and holes improve use with tie-downs and bungee cords. Rack capacity of 200 lb.
Standard Anti-Theft System
D.E.S.S. is the industry’s first standard anti-theft device. Electronic code in key must match code in ECU to start. The Maverick 1000R family comes with two different keys. One limits top speed to 44 mph, while the other has no limitations.
