Flexible, strong and practical, the Can-Am Commander DPS has all it needs to keep you out of trouble even when you find yourself in the middle of nowhere.

The Can Am Commander DPS is offered with a choice of two V twin, liquid cooled, SOHC, 8 valve (4-Valve / Cyl) engines, namely a 799.9 cc and a 976 cc unit. Both engines are mated on a CVT transmission.

The stopping power is handled by outboard disc brakes with 214 mm discs and twin piston calipers. You also get Tri Mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS), Lightweight Tires and Wheels, a Visco Lok QE auto locking front differential and Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC).

As far as prices are concerned, the Can Am Commander DPS is offered with a base price of $12,999.

Rugged and agile, the Can Am Commander is a versatile side-by-side which can conquer any terrain without breaking a sweat.

At the heart of the side by side sits a V twin, liquid cooled, SOHC, 8-valve (4-Valve / Cyl) engine with a displacement of 799.9 cc. The engine’s power is transferred to the ground by means of a CVT transmission with high, low, park, neutral & reverse.

The engine is mounted on a steel frame which sits on front double A-arm with drive-control geometry a torsional trailing arm Independent rear suspension (TTI) with external sway bar.

Other features that are worthy of being mentioned include the Visco-Lok auto-locking front differential, Intelligent Throttle Control (ITC), Dual-LevelTM Cargo Box as well as an adjustable driver seat and tilt steering.

For enhanced agility, the versatile Can-Am Commander Max is also offered with Tri-Mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS).

The DPS version is available with two engine choices namely the 71-hp Rotax 800R or the 82-hp Rotax 1000 liquid-cooled V-Twin unit. Both units are mated to CVT, sub-transmissions with high, low, park, neutral and reverse.

The engines are fed by 10 gallons fuel tanks which at the moment are the largest in the industry offering you a fairly generous driving range.

To keep its passengers safe, the Can-Am Commander MAX DPS was built with a 2-in diameter, high-strength steel cage which is designed around the Rollover Protective Structures (ROPS).
