Mercedes presented the updated, 2021 AMG GLS 63 at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, and with it comes a new look, more power, and some extra tech goodies. Like the GLE 63, the GLS 63 features a 4.0-liter V-8 that’s good for 602 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. With the EQ Boost starter-generator, that amounts to an extra 21 ponies and 184 pound-feet of torque. An updated air suspension system keeps things smooth on the road while a nine-speed automatic shunts all that power to the 4Matic+ AWD system with variable torque distribution. This system, by the way, can actually distribute as much as 100-percent of the engine’s power to the rear wheels or distribute it evenly between the front and rear as needed for optimal traction.
The smaller GLE 63 Is actually quicker to get up to speed at 3.7 seconds to 60 mph, but the GLS 63 isn’t exactly a slouch either, managing to make the same sprint to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds on the way to an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
The exterior of the 2021 model is emphasized by the updated and larger Panamerican-like front grille and the new quad exhaust layout in the rear. The wheel arches have been flared as well, while the front air intakes up from have grown even larger compared to the outgoing model. Needless to say, the GLS 63 is a looker, but you won’t be able to get one Stateside until mid-2020 when it’s scheduled to go on sale as a 2021 model. We’ve put together a nice photo gallery in the slider above and in the page below, so go ahead and check out the finer details!
This Leaked Image of the 2020 Chevy C8 Corvette Is Like Looking Through a Very Dirty Crystal Ball
These days, it seems like there isn’t an automaker out there that can debut a new car without someone spilling the beans ahead of time. This time around, it appears as if someone has managed to snag a shot of the 2020 Chevy C8 Corvette’s rear end. The image is low-resolution, but there’s little doubt that we’re looking at the real deal here. If it’s not legitimate, someone has done a good job at creating a very authentic-looking fake.
Car Magazine has got the right idea for a little holiday spirit. It asked designers in the U.K. from Bentley, Nissan, Ford and Rolls-Royce to pimp Santa’s ride. Each designer took elements from the brands current car design philosophy but came up with some very different results: everything from a futuristic Nissan GT-R based rocket sled to a gothic classic from Rolls-Royce.
No matter if the engine is measured in horsepower or reindeerpower, speed is the theme in all of these designs. So we have no trouble liking all of them.
Launched as a successor to the Ferrari Enzo, the Ferrari LaFerrari was designed with a language that, according to the design team led by Flavio Manzoni, is the perfect combination of form and function. It combines F1-inspired aerodynamics and plenty of sharp character lines to bring together one of the wildest production cars from Ferrari. On the inside, the LaFerrari got a newly-designed steering wheel that is more square than it is round, and an overall interior design that screams track-only but offers plenty of comfort two. The biggest news is what makes this red rocket go. The new LaFerrari is the first car from the brand to use a hybrid drive system. Known as the HY-KERS system, it has a 6.3-liter V-12 and two electric motors. Total output is 963 horsepower (800 from the ICE and 163 from the electric motors) and more than 663 pound-feet of torque. To help keep everything kosher on the road, the suspension system has been designed specifically for the car, and Brembo brakes are in place to bring this puppy to a stop.
Ferrari went above and beyond with the LaFerrari, with the exception of the name, but don’t even get me started on that one. Outside of the name, however, Ferrari is bringing a heavy hitter to a supercar market that is now going hybrid. It is slated to compete against models like the wild McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder – both of which have plenty of hybrid DNA in their genes. So, what separates the goofy-named LaFerrari from the pack of hybrid heavy hitters? Check out our full review below and you’ll find out that and more.

When Porsche unveiled the 918 Spyder concept at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show we were all in amazement. Within that amazement was a sense of a sense of pessimism, as we were unsure exactly how this future successor to the Carrera GT would look and run in the real world. We all know that manufacturers have a habit of “overestimating” its cars at these shows, to put it nicely.
After more than three years, the 918 Spyder ended its testing phase and is ready for its world debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The 918 has made many passes around the “Green Hell,” thrashing its predecessor’s time in the process. All of these laps around the famed Nürburgring and at Porsche’s test facilities have given the automaker enough details to allow it to piece together all of its specs.
So, is the 918 Spyder everything it has been hyped up to be?

In 2006, Land Rover took a risk when it strayed from its off-road roots and released the Range Rover Sport. This was a direct shot at the luxurious and sporty SUVs from Bimmer and Mercedes. The debut Range Rover Sport had two 4.4-liter, V-8 engines available, a naturally aspirated one with 300 horses and 315 pound-feet of torque, and a supercharged one that pumped out 390 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. In 2010, The RR Sport moved onto a 5.0-liter V-8 that produced 375 horses in its base form and 510 ponies with a supercharged V-8. In 2014, the Range Rover Sport underwent a full overhaul that resulted in a new, more aerodynamic body and a 3.0-liter V-6 that put down 340 horsepower replacing the base V-8. As we head toward the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 27, 2014, Land Rover has unveiled the most powerful Range Rover Sport yet, the SVR.
Developed by the company’s newly founded Special Vehicle Operations division, the Range Rover Sport SVR follows into the footsteps of the Jaguar F-Type Project 7. Stuffed with an uprated version of JLR’s supercharged, 5.0-liter V-8, the SVR is the most powerful Range Rover ever built.
As with all SVO projects, the Range Rover Sport SVR is also unique by design, carrying styling cues and interior features that are not available on the standard model or even the Autobiography trim. The SVR is a truly special vehicle in all departments, but to find out why you’ll have to check out our full review past the jump.

At the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, Kia unveiled its new, rear-wheel-drive flagship. Aimed at German luxury vehicles such as the BMW 7 Series, the sedan went on sale in the first quarter of 2014.
The K900 rides on the same platform as the Hyundai Equus, from which it also borrowed the powerful, 5.0-liter, V-8 engine that hooks up to an eight-speed transmission with three driving modes: Eco, Normal and Sport.
According to the company, the K900 "is the next logical progression for Kia. It demonstrates what Kia is capable of and will help redefine what the Kia brand stands for." The flagship went on sale just in time to celebrate Kia’s 20th anniversary on the U.S. market.
Updated 11/25/2015: Kia announced details on the 2016 K900 - a model that adds a new V-6 engine. Unlike the 2015 model year, the 2016 K900 will be offered in three trim levels: V6 Premium, V6 Luxury and V8 Luxury, with prices ranging from $49,000 to $61,900.

Gymkhana master and all-around awesome guy Ken Block wants you to know that what he does in his videos isn’t technically drifting. Drifting is for real-wheel-drive cars, while the tire-torching slides he executes in his all-wheel-drive, 845-horsepower Hoonicorn Mustang are more closely related to what you might see in the World Rally Championship, which by the way, Block has competed in. We won’t split hairs, because whatever it’s called, we’re not getting tired of it.
Luckily for us, there’s a new video showing Block doing what he does best.
Block recently brought his Mustang over to England to scare the bejesus out of the guys from Autocar at the Silverstone circuit, but before doing so, he talks a little bit about his craft and the Hoonicorn Mustang. Block says he was first inspired to go rallying in the 1980s as all-wheel drive started becoming popular, and later during the WRC heyday of the late 90s and early 2000s when guys like Colin McRae and Tommi Makinen were in their prime.
Interestingly, he explains that a lot of the reason he does the gymkhana stuff these days (he’s also currently competing in the 2015 Global Rallycross season) is that drivers can’t slide modern rally cars like they used to. Modern electronic differentials now keep the cars moving in a straight line, and sliding usually results in a loss of time.
But, we know what you really came to see, so click through see Ken Block lighting up the Hoonicorn Mustang around Silverstone.
Ever since 2011, rumors have been swirling that once the new-generation Impreza hits the market, Subaru will separate the Impreza and WRX models. Of course, both will share the same platform, but the WRX and the WRX STI versions will be radically modified and each part on it will be unique.
As no surprise, shortly after the WRX Concept was unveiled at the 2013 New York Auto Show, our spy photographers caught the production version testing around the Nürburgring race track. Now, after many testing sessions, teasers and speculations, the 2015 WRX made its world debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The model offers a new design language, a powerful four-cylinder engine — not as powerful as hoped though, as it was rumored it will deliver more than 300 horsepower — and, for the first time, the choice of two gearboxes: a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
Updated 04/23/2015: Subaru announced prices for the 2016 WRX, which will go on sale later this summer. The only updates for the 2016 model year include the addition of new technologies, including Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and the new STARLINK touch screen infotainment systems. Prices will start at $26,595 for the standard model equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.

The Porsche 911 started its run back in 1963 - and oh what a run it is -, but it wasn’t until 1999 that a GT3 version was offered up for our ravenous consumption. It came to complete the series of performance vehicles that started back in 1973 with the 911 RS, a model that was capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds and to 100 mph in 13 seconds. Why the short history lesson? Well, the new generation GT3 has just made its world debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and would be nice to make a comparison between the things that were and the things to come.
The new GT3 is lighter and more powerful than the model it replaces, and it brings innovative features like the first active rear wheel steering in a production Porsche. There is a bad news too unfortunately: the new GT3 will only be offered with a PDK transmission - at least for now!

America’s original pony car will turn 50 in 2014, and Ford is celebrating the monumental birthday by taking its maiden voyage overseas. The 2015 Ford Mustang will find its way into right-hand-drive markets, such as England, Japan and Australia. Moreover, for the first time in the Mustang’s history, England and Australia studios will aid in the design of the new-generation muscle car. Add that to the fact that the 2015 Mustang will receive independent rear suspension for the first time ever, with exception of the Cobra version a decade ago, and the Mustang suddenly becomes a hot topic among enthusiasts.
With such dramatic changes in the geographical availability of the Mustang, as well as the move away from the cheaper live axle, not much else has to change in order for this new-generation Mustang to find its new niche in the 2015 model year. That being said, expect the updated muscle car to get a radical redesign while still staying true to its overall look and style.
Also, for the first time, the Mustang is offered with an EcoBoost engine and a series of new technologies that will push it on top on the market.
Updated 09/12/2014: Ford released mileage figures for the all new-generation Mustang, and the bad news is that the new model delivers worse fuel economy than the model it replaces. The 2015 Mustang GT delivers 15 mpg city, 19 mpg combined and 25 mpg highway when equipped with the manual or automatic transmission. The V-6 model delivers 19 mpg city, 22 mpg combined and 28 mpg highway when mated to a manual gearbox, while the automatic-equipped V-6 gets a 2-mpg boost in the city and a 1-mpg boost in the combined rating. The new Mustang EcoBoost delivers 22 mpg city, 26 mpg combined and 31 mpg highway with the manual version, and 21 mpg city, 25 mpg combined and 32 mpg highway with the automatic gearbox.

Volkswagen released the original Golf back in 1974, and shortly after, it became one of the most appreciated models in the world. As proof to its worldwide love, there have been over 30 million units sold worldwide, so there should be no surprise that Volkswagen is trying to attract even more buyers.
VW unveiled the all-electric e-golf at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, and it will hit the market in the spring of 2014. The model looks like a regular Golf, but it adds a particularly innovative overall technological system, improved aerodynamics and optimal rolling resistance. Also, as a first for any Volkswagen model, the new e-golf is equipped with full-LED headlights.
Along with a very efficient electric motor that ensures a driving range of up to 118 miles, the new e-golf features impressive technology, like regenerative braking and a "Discover Pro" system with a series of new functions.

After months of speculation, spy shots and “leaked” 3-D images raising the anticipation level and the excitement of the fanboy in us, here it is folks, The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and yes, the iconic Stingray name is back since it was last seen in the C3 ‘Vette.
As promised, Chevrolet has taken off the wraps of what’s arguably one of its most highly anticipated cars. This is the day we at TopSpeed have been waiting for since all of this C7 talk started.
Rather than calling it the “Corvette,” Chevy boldly calls it the “New Corvette.” Calling it “new” is absolutely correct, as everything on the car is brand new. From a new design to a new powertrain to a brand new interior, Chevrolet has revolutionized every nook and cranny of the `Vette. But it still has that modern Corvette philosophy that has been retained for the past six generations, maybe even made it better.
Updated 04/27/2015: Chevrolet announced a series of upgrades for the 2016 Corvette Stingray, including some new design packages and new technologies.

BMW released the X6 in 2008 and revealed a revised version in the middle of 2012. These changes were the last the first-gen SUV would receive because, starting 2015, BMW begins selling the second-generation X6. The BMW X6 has quickly become a successful model mostly due to the fact that it doesn’t have much competition. That won’t change too soon, but Mercedes-Benz is prepping coupe SUVs of its own.
With that in mind, BMW focused on improving the X6 in just about every area, including a 20-pound diet. Sure, that’s not much considering the X6 tips the scales at over 4,600 pounds, but it’s a worthy achievement for a vehicle that’s longer and wider than the one it replaces. Besides gaining a crisper appearance that blends many cues already seen on 2014 model year BMWs, the coupe SUV also boasts updated technology and a slightly roomier interior.
Engine-wise, only one engine available in the United States has been uprated. Unfortunately, BMW is still stubborn enough not to send a diesel mill over the Pond, so you’ll have to settle for the 3.0-liter gasoline version if you’re looking for something more efficient.
Updated 08/13/2014: BMW announced prices for the revised X6 set to go on sale in the fall of 2014. Prices start from $61,900 for the xDrive35i version and from $72,900 for the xDrive50i version. Prices go way up from these starting points, thanks to the impressive list of options offered by the company. Details after the jump.

At the 2013 Auto Shanghai, Mercedes unveiled the GLA Concept — the initial preview for the company’s fifth SUV. Just a few months after, the production GLA will make its world debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The production GLA-Class is built on the same front-wheel-drive architecture that features transversely mounted engines as the new-generation A-Class and B-Class. From the A-Class, the new GLA also borrows its engine lineup, but U.S. customers will only have one variant, the GLA250, which is offered in standard front-wheel drive and optional 4MATIC.
On the U.S. market, the model will be put on sale in the fall of 2014.
Updated 08/14/2013: The production Mercedes GLA will make its world debut in September at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, but Mercedes just released the first official details on the production version GLA.
Updated 07/29/2014: Mercedes announced that the all-new GLA-Class will be put on sale at a starting price of $32,225, while when equipped with the 4MATIC system, the price will raise to $34,225.

For the European market, the Audi Q3 was unveiled in 2011 after being previewed by the Cross Coupe quattro concept at the 2007 Shanghai Motor Show. Now it’s our turn, as Audi decided to release it for the 2015 model year.
With the incredible success the Q5 and the Q7 are already enjoying and the increased demand for compact SUVs in the U.S., it is really no surprise to see the Q3 on American soil. The Q3 is expected to be an even more successful model, thanks to its combination of a coupe-like look with the utility of a SUV and the usual features offered by an Audi SUV — "utility, technology, craftsmanship and performance."
The 2015 Audi Q3 will be unveiled at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show and will be put on sale in the fall of 2014. Prices will be announced at a later date.
Updated 07/29/2014: Audi finally released prices for the 2015 Q3. It starts at $33,425 and climbs from there. There are additional pricing details after the jump.

The Audi R8 was first launched back in 2007 and everyone suddenly noticed that Audi had a thing or two to give to the supercar realm. Though it remained successful throughout its many years on the market, the R8 line-up received a light refresh for the 2014 model year. Heading into the 2015 model year — a year before its anticipated complete redesign — the R8 receives a few new goodies and a slight price increase. before
The biggest addition to the lightly revised Audi R8 V8 is under the hood where the Berman automaker tweaked the V-8 engine to deliver an extra 10 horsepower over the previous version. There is also a new seven-speed S tronic gearbox.
Since a redesign is on the horizon, Audi kept the exterior updates to a minimum. These updates include a new front bumper and single-frame grille.
Updated 07/02/2014: Audi announced prices for the entire 2015 R8 lineup, including the base R8 V8 version. For 2015 prices increase by $1,000 for the manual version and $900 for the R8 with the S tronic transmission. Updates for 2015 include new exterior paints, red brake calipers, a new Quilted Leather package in Silver, and a new diamond-stitched Alcantara headliner.
Volkswagen’s dream of developing a 235-mpg car (1 liter per 100 kilometers) has finally been realized, as the new XL1 will be making its world debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. To make things even better, the first details have been released today. Volkswagen describes it as "a spectacular appearance – a car of the future, built for today."
On the exterior, the model remains pretty much identical to the concept unveiled at the 2011 Qatar Motor Show, including those cool gullwing doors. Still, the car is a little bit better than VW hoped, because its fuel consumption goes down to an impressive 0.9 liters per 100 kilometers, or 261 U.S. mpg.
The model will be unveiled next month at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and the first production batch will consist of just 50 units, with any other unit being developed on demand.
Updated 6/27/2014: Volkswagen has announced that the XL1 is ready for launch, and the first car was delivered to a German buyer in May 2014. It is also now available in the UK at £98,515 ($167,736 as of 6/27/2014) on the road.

When the Audi R8 was introduced back in 2006, one of its more notable features was that it was a supercar that could be used as a daily driver. Yes, it was a very fast and capable handler, but it could also be driven to the grocery store if the need arose. Unfortunately, for most people, all of that was overshadowed by the fact that the R8 was an absolute stunner. Even with a base price of over $100,000, it had the kind of good looks that made it look more expensive than it actually was. The Porsche 911 4S still runs the risk of being confused for a Cayman, but as distinctive as the R8 was, there really wasn’t anything on the road that it would be confused with.
It isn’t 2006 anymore though, and despite a refresh in 2012, the overall design is still eight years old. With the R8 no longer looking as fresh and cutting edge as it did at one point, what is the discerning buyer to do? How can you make sure that your R8 stands out in the sea of more than 20,000 other R8s?
Enter the Audi R8 XII GT Aero-Kit by SGA Aerodynamics. With a full body kit and new set of wheels, an R8 owner can make sure that his car not only stands out visually but also possibly even handles better than a stock R8.

After revealing the ILX Concept at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show in January, Acura has quickly followed it up with the production version at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show. Carrying the same ILX name, the new sedan will be offered with a choice of two different engines, as well as a Hybrid version for those with a particular love for the environment.
The Acura ILX addresses the young buyers that are looking for their first luxury vehicle. Acura has promised the ILX will be a cheaper alternative to models like the Buick Verano and the Audi A3.
"First-time luxury buyers tend to place a high value on exterior styling, affordability and environmental issues, and that’s what we have created with the new Acura ILX," said Jon Ikeda, head of the Acura Design Studio. "The strategy behind this new model is to position ILX as the first opportunity for many young buyers to enter the luxury market."
Updated 06/17/2014: Acura announced prices for the 2015 ILX which continues to be offered with the same features as the 2014 model year. The only change includes a new Modern Steel Metallic exterior paint that replaces the Polished Metal Metallic.

In 2011, Alfa Romeo debuted an all-new sports car that it dubbed the 4C. Upon initial inspection, this beastly compact model looked to be more of a "future styling" concept, which means it will never see production. However, as time went on, Alfa Romeo decided to make the 4C a reality. Even better, Alfa Romeo plans to release the 4C in the U.S., making it the first U.S.-sold Alfa Romeo since the 2008 8C.
The 4C takes its name from Alfa Romeo’s storied racing tradition. The company first used the 8C and 6C names back in the 1930s and 1940s for both racing and road-going version. The 4C name is a clear indication that it has been inspired by the sports cars of yesteryear, like the 8C that it borrows the carbon fiber, aluminum and rear-wheel-drive configuration from.

The 2013 XTS made its first appearance at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. The XTS bowed in with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that pumped out 304 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque. This, combined with all-wheel drive in the XTS4, is enough to launch the sedan to 60 mph in 7.3 seconds.
Now, with just one model year under its belt, the XTS is set to receive its first major update: the addition of an all-new V-6 engine and a new Vsport trim level. If this V-6 powerplant seems familiar, it certainly should, as it is the same engine that will power the Vsport variant of the 2014 CTS.
Like the 2013 model year, the XTS will take on some familiar performance luxury sedans. The XTS’ key competitor, the 2014 E-Class, is revised for the new model year and features an all0new diesel engine. Also competing with the XTS is the 2014 Lincoln MKS, which carries over its full redesign from 2013 and packs a mean punch from its optional EcoBoost engine.
Updated 05/19/2014: Cadillac announced today a series of updates for the 2015 XTS which will be put on sale later this summer. The biggest update for the 2015 model year includes the addition of the OnStar with 4G LTE and standard built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, while few other changes were also made to both the exterior and the interior. The model continues to be offered in one well-equipped standard model and three optional Collections: Luxury, Premium and Platinum.

When the Cadillac CTS dropped onto the market, it was available in a variety of versions, including a sedan, a coupe and a station wagon. Now, the same recipe for success is being applied to the new ATS. Cadillac will first put out a sedan and a coupe version, but a station wagon version and a convertible are also said to be in the mix. Why? Well, Americans need cheaper alternatives to German coupes and Cadillac is ready to deliver just about anything we’re looking for in order to pick up sales.
They have the platform to build on and will more than likely make sure they get their money’s worth on it.
At the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, Cadillac finally revealed the all-new 2015 ATS Coupe, and borrowed a host of features from the sedan version, except for the new body panels, the equally new Cadillac badge and the sedan’s two rear doors
The ATS Coupe is also built on the same rear-wheel-drive Alpha platform and is offered with nearly the same engine lineup as the sedan: a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder with 270 horsepower, and a 3.6-liter, V-6 with 321 horsepower. The engines are combined with either a six-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission. There will also be an option for an all-wheel-drive system.
BMW and Audi better start prepping themselves for some competition.
Update 5/15/14: Cadillac has announced a starting price of $38,990, including the $995 delivery fee for the 2015 ATS Coupe.
Updated 07/25/2014: We added a new set of about 50 high res images to our ATS Coupe gallery. Check the new pictures in the ’Photos’ tab.
Finally, Nissan has lifted the veil of secrecy from the GT-R Nismo, and all we can say is "when do we get one?"
The Nismo version is based on the 2015 GT-R and it gained a series of updates that transformed the GT-R into a real track machine, while keeping it perfectly suitable for the road. This is a delicate balance for any automaker, let alone Nissan, who does not have tons of experience in developing high-end supercars.
On the exterior, Nismo worked on improving the car’s aerodynamics, giving it lower front and rear bumpers that were revised for aerodynamic efficiency, sill side skirts and a huge wing on the rear. On the inside, the Nismo GT-R gets special suede-trimmed Nismo sports seats with red stitching, plus a redesigned steering wheel, pedals, gauges and gear knob.
Under the hood, the 3.8-liter, twin-turbo V-6 engine is tricked to deliver an extra 35 ponies, putting it in line with some of the best supercars in the world.

Earlier this month, Ferrari filled some patent drawings revealing a new model that many people believed was the new Ferrari California. On the same day, Ferrari also filed a patent for the new "SP FFX" name and an accompanying logo. These two occurrences on the same day lead us to believe that those patent drawings were, in fact, of the SP FFX.
First things first; why is it unlikely that these drawings are of the new California? Mainly because the car showed in the images featured Ferrari FF door mirrors, headlights, taillights and general proportions. These make us believe that we were actually looking at a special FF Coupe.
The SP FFX name is a little unclear, but we do know that SP stands for Special Projects. As for the "FFX;" that part makes it pretty clear that a special edition FF is on its way.
Updated 04/28/2014: More images of the upcoming SP FXX surfaced online today, revealing just how cool Ferrari’s latest special project will look. We also got a few new details on the engine. (Carscoops)

Chrysler and its subsidiaries — Mopar, in particular — are rolling into the 2013 SEMA Show with quite an amazing entourage of vehicles. Together they have developed over 20 new vehicles for this show, and one of them is a new Scat Package that pays tribute to legendary "Scat Pack Club" offered back in 1968.
The new package comes just in time to celebrate Scat’s 45th anniversary, and it will be offered for the 2014 Dodge Challenger, Charger and Dart models. The new Scat Package will be available starting the spring of 2014.
For the Challenger, the Scat Package is all about bumping up the output of the 5.7-Liter HEMI V-8 and it will come in three different stages: Scat Package 1, 2 and 3. The only issue is that Chrysler has yet to formally announce how the kits will affect the HEMI’s output.
Updated 04/03/2014: Dodge released today performance numbers and prices for the Scat 1, 2 and 3 packages offered for the 2014 Challenger. Check the new numbers after the jump.

The first rumors about a new Maserati sedan placed under the current Quattroporte appeared at the beginning of 2010, but after a couple of months of heating up the air waves, the new car fell by the wayside while everyone made room for the new Audis, Ferraris, and such. Now, with just two weeks before the car’s official debut in Shanghai, Maserati has dropped the first details on its latest addition to the lineup.
Based on the same platform as the new generation Quattroporte, the new Ghibli sedan features a sportier character when compared to its big brother. Also, unlike previous rumors, for the new Ghibli, Maserati will only use two V-6 engines, while the V-8 engine used in the Quattroporte won’t be used.
Maserati revealed nothing on the car’s price just yet, but considering the new Ghibli will play a significant role in Maserati’s growth plan to sell 50,000 cars per year, we expect the price to be kept somewhere in the $70k area.
Updated 03/26/2014: Maserati unveiled a new video showing the new Ghibli in action at the Nurburgring. Enjoy!
Updated 11/20/2014: The 2015 Maserati Ghibli made its debut at the 2014 Los Angeles and it came with a series of small updates. For the new model year, Ghibli received standard navigation and Bluetooth, plus new standard brake caliper finish and contrast stitching. Also, a three-month subscription to the SiriusXM "All Access" package is offered for all customers.

Well, that was quick, wasn’t it? The joint development deal that was supposed to net two sports cars bearing the same underpinnings under the Renault and Caterham names is apparently over. We reported earlier that there was a riff between the two companies, and according to multiple sources, the two have decided to nix the joint-development deal altogether.
According to these reports, both the Caterham and Renault cars are still on schedule for a 2016 release, but there is no information on whether they will continue to share the same architecture. Earlier reports claimed that Caterham approved a design from Renault, but the French company later tried to stuff the toothpaste back in the tube after customers didn’t respond well to the initial design. The Caterham bosses didn’t take too kindly to this, but they were assured that the project would remain Renault’s No. 1 priority.
Well, with the 50-50 venture now completely off track Caterham is free to continue with its designing process completely free from Renault’s nervous trigger finger.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Renault will eventually pull the plug on its project altogether citing demand issues, and Caterham will modify the car to better match its current design language. This would be a sad ending to a promising campaign, but it seems like Renault lost interest at some point and Caterham really has no need for a sports car like this in its lineup.
Stay tuned to TopSpeed.com for more on this topic.

The 911 Targa came, and we loved what we saw. With 350 horsepower and 287 pound-feet of torque in tow, however, there was lots of room to grow. According to sources in the know, the 911 Targa Turbo will make its debut at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show.
This means that the removable-top sports car is primed to receive a 520-horsepower, 3.8-liter flat-six engine, and may even hit 360 horsepower if Porsche gives the Targa treatment to the Turbo S model. Now this is what we have been waiting for!
There is no confirmation of the 911 Targa Turbo , but according to Jalopnik, the source reporting this news is quite reliable. We’ll keep an eye on the 911 Targa Turbo , and pass more information on once we get some more in-depth information.

We all know that the Bugatti Veyron is the current record holder as the world’s fastest production car, and that just didn’t sit right with John Hennessey and his team. So, they set out to destroy the record, bringing the title back to the good ol’ U.S. of A. After negotiating with NASA to use its landing strip at the Kennedy Space Center, the record was prime for the taking.
Well, as expected, the Venom GT was the car for the job, and it completed its end of the task by hitting a Vbox-verified 270.49 mph — the Veyron Super Sport topped out at 267.81 mph. Unfortunately, Guinness Book of World Records again catered to Bugatti, as it will not recognize the record because NASA only allowed one run, and the record book requires two runs — down and back — to confirm the average top speed.
So, why didn’t Hennessey negotiate for one more pass down the landing strip? That’s because it would have been pointless, as Guinness defines a "production car" as one with at least 30 examples built and Hennessey only has 29 slotted for production this year.
Well, I say screw Guinness and their Bugatti-loving tactics has confirmed that it can smoke the Veyron, plus it is better looking and cheaper — a win-win-win!
The Kia Soul was introduced in 2008 as a concept, and later as a production model for the 2009 model year. It didn’t come to the states until 2010, where the first generation lasted through the 2012 model year. For 2014, Kia brought us the second-generation Soul that included design elements from the Tack’ster Concept from 2012. On the outside, the Soul received new exterior light units, a slightly revised front and rear fascia, and new side view mirrors. Inside, the interior was fitted with softer materials on the dash, center console, and door panels to help improve its “premium” appearance. Other interior features included a round shifter knob, push-button start, and revised steering wheel controls. Under the hood, consumers had the choice of a 130-horsepower 1.6-liter or a 164-horsepower 2.0-liter engine. A six-speed manual came as standard equipment, but a six-speed automatic was available at a premium. To round out the new Soul, it had an all-new chassis that was stiffer than before, heavily revised suspension, and a one-piece steering system.
In all reality, the Soul really didn’t change all that much, and to the untrained eye, the subtle changes that came with the second generation may not even be noticeable. Then again, Kia put a lot of work into the chassis and suspension, so ride quality and overall structural rigidity were increased significantly. Unfortunately, the second-generation model didn’t come with the cool hipster hamsters either, but that didn’t make the boxy little SUV any less fun to drive. With that said, check out our full and detailed review below to learn more about the second-generation Kia Soul.
The Miata never gets its fair share of press these days, but with the model celebrating its 25th anniversary — yeah, it’s 25 years old, folks — it is getting all the press it can handle. Even the big-boys, like Jay Leno, are getting in on the open-top celebration.
Jay, who owns a supercharged, first-gen MX-5 Miata, spoke with the two men responsible for this glorious sports car, Bob Hall and Kenichi Yamamoto, and discussed the progression of the Miata project, which officially started back in 1982.
What was great about this interview is that the two creators did not just talk about the final product. They dug deep and pulled up all of the old and juicy details about the project. One such detail was the fact that the Miata actually had a one-in-three chance of being either a front-wheel-drive or a mid-engine car. Fortunately, the rear-wheel-drive design by Hall and Yamamoto won over the folks in Japan, and the rest is history.
check out the above video to see the entire interview with these two guys and Jay showing off his tuned-up Miata MX-5.
The launch of the revised 2014 Chevrolet Camaro also marked the return of the Z/28 nomenclature. The Z/28 name was initially used back in 1967 when a special Camaro was designed to compete in the Sports Car Club of America’s Trans-Am 2 class. Now, for the 2014 model year, the Z/28 nomenclature is applied to the most capable and fastest Camaro currently available on the market.
The new Camaro Z/28 was not built to compete in a specific race series, but it features track-focused capabilities. When compared to the ZL1, it is significantly lighter and, even though it is no more powerful, it is around three seconds faster around Chevy’s testing track than the Camaro ZL1. Also, as a tribute to the original Camaro Z/28, the new generation is only offered with a manual gearbox.
Updated 02/25/2014: Chevrolet unveiled a new video, explaining how the Performance Traction Management system helps the new Camaro Z/28 delivering faster laps on the race track.

Back in 2009, TopGear took a trip to Romania and tested the "Transfagarasan" road. In the end, the guys were so impressed by the road, that Jeremy called it: "the best road in the world!" I’ve personally traveled that road and generally agree, but that’s only because TopGear never tested the other great road in Romania: Transalpina.
Transfagarasan climbs to 2,034 meters (1,263 miles) above sea level and is 90 km (60 miles) of hard hairpin turns, long S-curves and sharp descents top allow you to really test your driving skills. The only problem is that the speed limit is 40 km/h (about 25 mph), but I doubt that some folks resisted the urge to push their car to its limits. Not to mention that the scenery is simply amazing here.
But, no matter how wild the Trasfagarasan is, it is not as scary as Transalpina, or the "King’s Road" as it is also called. It climbs to 2,145 meters (1,332 miles) and is a little bit longer than the other road at 148 km (91 miles). While it may not offer the same hairpin bends as the Trasfagarasan, driving it is a little bit scarier, given the road is built on the edge of the mountain and when you look down, all you see is large precipice with no end. Also, this road requires you to drive a more powerful car, because at higher altitudes, it climbs really fast and a small engine has no chance of making it.
Of course this is our opinion on the roads, now check out what the guys over Evo have to say about the two Romania roads. They have the advantage of driving a Jaguar F-Type Roadster, so next to some great scenery you will also enjoy an amazing car!
BMW announced today that its venerable X3 SUV is getting a much-needed upgrade. BMW is blowing open the new 2015 BMW X3 SUV by offering it with multiple U.S.-market firsts. Most notably, you can now get the X3 with diesel power, and there is now a model without all-wheel drive.
The availability of the rear-wheel-drive model helps bring the price of the X3 down into a new market, and the diesel engine option provides a level of fuel economy that far exceeds any of the previous X3 models.
As expected with any major update, the designs of the interior and exterior have been updated and overall equipment levels have increased.
Is the new 2015 BMW X3 the best luxury SUV money can buy, or does BMW need to make more substantial changes to make the model worth looking at?

Another day, another Ferrari 250 sets a sales record. This latest record-setting Ferrari is a 250 Testa Rossa, and it changed hands for what the Daily Mail is reporting as £24,000,000 — that equates to about $39 million.
At that price, it exceeds the previous record of £22.5 million set in 2012 by a 250 GTO, and it triples the price paid for a 1957 Testa Rossa in 2009. That 2009 sale was also a record.
What separates this Testa Rossa from its brethren to demand such a price? Pedigree, fame and its immaculate condition all came together to make this a very valuable car.
The car itself is Chassis 0704, and it is actually a prototype that was created before the limited run of “normal” 250 Testa Rossas. F1 World Champion Phil Hill helped to pilot this exact car to race wins in the in the 1,000 km (683.5-mile) Buenos Aires and 12 Hour Sebring races. It has contested many other races, including two entrances into the 24 Hours of Le Mans. That gives this particular car one of the best racing heritages of any Ferrari still in existence in the private market.
Even with such a long racing heritage, the car is completely original and unmolested. It has all the battle scars of wheel-to-wheel action, but it has very little actual damage to any of the body panels, and the interior looks incredible for a 57-year-old car.
The new owner of the car has not been released, but if you want more info and images of this incredible machine head over to the Daily Mail for the original story.

Rolls Royce announced today the launch of a new Bespoke Waterspeed Collection that will be applied to a series of 35 Phantom Drophead Coupés. This new collection pays tribute to a legendary record established back on September 1st, 1937.
On that day, Sir Malcolm Campbell took a Bluebird K3 hydroplane boat powered by Rolls-Royce’s R-Type engine to a top speed of 126.32 mph on Lake Maggiore on the Swiss-Italian frontier. The next, day he did even better, as he sped the boat to 129.5 mph, breaking a five-year-old world water-speed record.
Of course, this amazing result was possible, thanks to the incredible Rolls Royce engine that powered the boat, and immediately after the record, Rolls Royce managed to reaffirm the superiority of its engines. What better way to honor the record than by building a bunch of expensive cars?
Updated 04/02/2014: Rolls Royce unveiled a new set of teaser images and new details on its new Waterspeed Collection that will be officially unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

We have been following the development of the all-new Volvo XC90 for quite some time. Last year we brought spy shots of the 2015 Volvo XC90 mule, and now we have a true pre-production model.
It may be covered in heavy camouflage but one look at the rear lights and it’s immediately obvious this is a Volvo. This prototype looks to be sized similarly to the previous car, and will include room for seven passengers.
The 2015 XC90 will be built on Volvo’s new Scalable Product Architecture platform. The SPA platform has been designed to be extremely safe and employs a massive amount of ultra-high-strength steel in the main safety shell of the vehicle. The 2015 XC90 will be the first model to utilize the new platform, but it will become the core of every product Volvo sells from the S60 up.
Thanks to the SPA construction, Volvo expects the 2015 XC90 to be the safest SUV ever sold to the public.
Volvo is expected to drop all the engines in the current-gen XC90 in favor of more fuel-efficient, four-cylinder powertrains. All the engines will be turbocharged, and Volvo is developing both gasoline and diesel engines. No word on if the oil-burner will hit U.S. shores.
We are not entirely sure if American buyers will responsive to a three-row SUV without at least a six-cylinder engine, but only time will tell.
Expect the new Volvo XC90 to be put on sale in early 2015.
Hyundai launched the Veloster on the North American market and since then, the model continued nearly unchanged. The only changes included the launch of a Turbo version and a Turbo R-Spec model.
The Veloster will again carry over as it enters the 2014 model year, as the model returns practically unchanged. The only mods for 2014 include a standard rearview camera, standard driver’s blind-spot monitor and standard daytime running lights.
Just like in the past, the Veloster combines an incredibly sporty look with well-placed performance capabilities in one of the most affordable sports coupes out there. What’s even cooler about the Veloster is that when looked from one side, it looks like any other coupe, but the other side features a third door that makes rear access easier.
For the 2014 model year, Veloster is priced from $17,800.

How does a ride in the Pagani Zonda S with Horacio Pagani himself? Sounds pretty awesome, right?
Well, when Horacio Pagani offers you a ride in his personal Zonda S, the only answer that should cross your lips is "hell, yeah!" The lucky guy is an editor from XCar, who not only had Mr. Pagani as his personal taxi driver, but was also allowed to test this special Zonda S himself.
The car you see driven here is the sixth Zonda ever produced. This model was the first all-carbon-fiber car, which help reduce the Zonda’s curb weight drastically and improved the handling of this already-awesome supercar.
The Zonda S 7.3 uses a 7.3-liter, AMG-sourced, V-12 engine that delivers a total of 547 horsepower 550 pound-feet of torque. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph is made in 3.7 seconds, while top speed is 208 mph.
Over the past few months, we’ve caught Ferrari testing what we thought was a revised version of the current California. Well, it now looks like the Prancing Horse will finally unveil this model on February 12th, 2014 — ahead of its world debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, on March 4th. The new model is expected to hit showrooms in May.
The initial teaser image (above) reveals that the project is codenamed "149M" and, considering that the current California is codenamed F149 and that "M" stands for "modified," than it’s pretty clear that we will see an updated version of the current convertible.
In fact, this is not the first time Ferrari offered an "M" version of a model. If you remember, the 550 was replaced in 2002 by the 575M Maranello, which was nothing more than an updated 550.

A while ago Bugatti announced that both a production version of the Galibier and the SuperVeyron were canceled. Now, in a recent interview with the British magazine AutoCar, Volkswagen Group chief Martin Winterkorn confirmed that this decision was made in order to focus all the company’s attention on the development of a direct successor to the Veyron.
Winterkorn offered no other details on this new supercar, nor did he offer an official launch date, but he said: "The Galibier is officially dead. We won’t do it. In its place will be a second-generation Veyron with more power."
So, what does this means for Bugatti? Pretty much nothing, except that we’re going to see a bit more powerful model than the current Veyron SuperSport, which delivers a total of 1,200 horsepower and 1,106 pound-feet. Of course, don’t expect it to deliver 1,500 horsepower, like the SuperVeyron was supposed to, but it will fall somewhere between the Veyron SuperSport and the rumored SuperVeyron.
It wouldn’t hurt to see a completely revised exterior, but likely won’t happen, as Bugatti is not too open to change from what we have seen lately.

Dodge will expand its Journey lineup with the addition of a new Crossroad version that it will unveil at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show. It comes just a few weeks after Dodge announced that 2013 model year was the Journey’s best sales year ever, and Dodge hopes that this new version of the model will enjoy the same success as the rest of the Journey lineup.
The new Journey Crossroad will be distinguished by a specially designed front and rear fascia, platinum chrome and black elements, plus a series of updates for the interior. The only problem is that the model comes with pretty much no upgrades under the hood, so the customers will have to choose between the usual four-cylinder and V-6 engines.
The new Dodge Journey Crossroad will be placed between the current SXT and Limited models in the Journey lineup and will be priced from $24,995. Sales will begin later this spring.

Along with the excitement of the Super Bowl and some pretty nice commercials, this year’s Super Bowl also brought us the first teaser video for the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction movie. Featuring Mark Wahlberg — who replaces Shia LaBeouf — the movie tells the story of a mechanic and his daughter making a discovery that draws the Autobots and Decepticons — and a paranoid government official — to them.
Also, as previously reported, the fourth installment of the series brings into focus the Dinobots, which are robots that transform into dinosaurs. The movie’s producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said in a previous interview: "I cannot disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the arrival of the Dinobots will give the audience a lot to be excited about. The world’s coolest, most exciting cars will appear in the film, including Chinese vehicles, so whether you are a car enthusiast or not, it will be a feast for the eyes."
The new Transformers: Age of Extinction will hit theaters on June 27, 2014. Stay tuned for more updates!
Super Bowl XLVIII ended with tears for some fans and with joy for others, and the tears were especially salty, considering the huge difference in score, as the Sehawks gave the Broncos quite a whooping 43-8. On a good note, at least there were some cool car commercials to enjoy during this total blowout.
Just like with the game, we had some winners and some looser. Commercials like Budweiser’s "Puppy Love" Jerry Seinfeld’s Reunion/Crackle received rave reviews and millions of views online, but we’re more interested in what happened in the automotive section.
Many consider Audi hit a home run with its "Doberhuahua" commercial, while Maserati’s "Strike" or Chevrolet’s "Romance" were total failures, but what do you think? In your opinion, which ad was the best this year?
In my humble opinion, I found Volkswagen’s "Wings" the funniest one of the year. As for the stinker of the year, I have to vote for Chevrolet’s "Romance" ad, as it seemed nearly pointless.

Audi has just released a teaser video of an upcoming addition to its lineup that is set to be unveiled online on February 12th, 2014. In a strange move, it appears that Audi will not choose the 2014 Chicago Auto Show for this unveil, but a completely different place that remains a mystery.
Audi did not revealed anything about this new model, and challenges you to guess what model it’s going to reveal. To be completely honest with you, it;’s a little difficult to guess right now, because there are quite a few models the Ingolstadt-based automaker is working on.
However, considering that Audi released the first interior pictures for the next-generation TT, we’re pretty sure this is the model that it will release. After the online debut, this new model will likely be displayed in March at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
Suzuki unveiled the IV-4 — a concept car that previews a new crossover that will replace the Grand Vitara — at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. And now our spy photographers caught a prototype of the production version is out testing.
As you can see, the prototype is heavily camouflaged, so it’s pretty difficult to know what is hiding beneath. Still, considering an SX4 was testing next to it, and that it was wearing the typical Suzuki camo, it pretty evident that this is s Suzuki crossover of some sort, likely the next-gen Grand Vitara.
This new Grand Vitara will use Suzuki’s latest ALLGRIP four-wheel-drive system, but it will also come in your basic front-wheel-drive setup.
Suzuki promised that this new crossover will lightest model in its class, with lowest fuel consumption and the lowest CO2 emissions.
Though we are not 100-percent certain that this new crossover will carry the Grand Vitara name, we are pretty sure that we’ll see it in 2015. Sorry U.S. buyers, Suzuki does not plan to sell it, or any other model, in the U.S. any time soon...

Youtube user Marchettino appears to have lots of friends with some really bad-ass toys, and this is how he manages to shoot some of the greatest car videos we’ve ever seen.
His latest video includes a brand-new Ferrari 458 Speciale clearing its throat, then a fantastic ride-along that also includes a close encounter with the police.
All we can say about the 458 Speciale is "can we have on, please?" What a fantastic-sounding car...
As a reminder, the 458 Speciale gets an updated 4.5-liter, V-8 powerplant that delivers a total of 596 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 398 pound-feet of torque at 6,000 rpm. With the extra power, the 458 Speciale goes from 0 to 60 mph in only three seconds and from 0 to 124 mph in just 9.1 seconds. Top speed is an amazing 202 mph.
Check out the video to see how great the V-8 engine sounds in the 458 Speciale.
If last week Drive’s Inside quattro GmbH series too a look at the development process of the R8 V10 Plus. This time around, Drive took trip behind the scenes at Audi’s home and spent some time at the Audi Sport Customer Racing program at Quattro GmbH — the home of the R8 LMS Ultra race car.
This video will teach you about how the R8 LMS Ultra race car is built, plus you get to watch various testing sessions and you will hear different opinions on how good or bad it is.
As a reminder, the R8 LMS Ultra is powered by a 5.2-liter, V-10 engine that delivers a total of 570 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque. This power is transferred to the rear wheels through a a sequential, pneumatically activated, six-speed gearbox. The car is priced at €350,000 — about $475,000 at the current exchange rates.
It’s no surprise that a movie named "Need For Speed" will star plenty of potent and expensive supercars. When you’re dealing with cars as expensive as the ones in the movie, the last thing you want to do is damage one.
In order to avoid this possibility, the crew put together the entire replica-supercar lineup in less than six months that includes the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, Koenigsegg Agera, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, McLaren P1, Saleen S7, GTA Spano and many more.
Along with these supercars, we also know that the 2015 Ford Mustang will also star in the upcoming movie and will be driven by Aaron Paul.
The above video has a look at the supercars, and shows how the team of builders put the supercars together.
The Need For Speed movie will arrive in theaters on March 14, 2014.
As with years past, BMW is celebrating Chinese New Year with the launch of a special-edition model, built specially for China. We’re pretty sure that most of you remember the very successful M3 Tiger Edition announced back in 2010. Now, as China officially enters the year of the horse, BMW is releasing the special-edition M6 Gran Coupe Horse Edition.
Do not expect this special-edition M6 to offer numerous updates over a base M6 Gran Coupe. In fact, it is based on a model equipped with the Competition Package and it includes embroidered horse logos on the headrests.
The new BMW M6 Gran Coupe Horse Edition is limited to six units ,and each will carry phenomenal price of 2.77 million yuan — about $458,000 at the current exchange rates. To put that into perspective, the U.S.-spec BMW M6 Gran Coupe is priced at $115,000, so that is quite a hike.
BMW also announced that the same treatment will also be applied to 30 M5 sports sedans too. This version will be priced at 1.98 million yuan - or about $327,000.

The new Mercedes CLA is having unimaginable success, and the company was forced to double production to meet the demand around the globe. We are talking about the standard version here, of course, but we’re pretty sure that the AMG version will enjoy the same success.
With a price of under $50k, the new CLA 45 AMG will be pretty much the only Mercedes that will allow the "average" customer to enter the world of high-performance sedans.
In the latest review made by Drive’s Mike Musto, he wants to see if the CLA 45 AMG is indeed the sports sedan Mercedes brags about. The test was performed at the Chuckwalla Valley Raceway in California.
As a reminder, the CLA 45 AMG is powered by an AMG-built, 2.0-liter, turbo engine that delivers a total of 360 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds and up to a top speed of 155 mph.
When Nissan unveiled the Murano CrossCabriolet at the 2010 Los Angeles Show, it entered a zone of the market that had never really been explored before, as it was the world’s first all-wheel-drive crossover convertible. Since then, the Murano CrossCabriolet continued nearly no updates to speak of, and much of the same carries into 2014.
So, how did the Murano become a convertible crossover? With a lot of work, of course, and a tiny bit of insanity on from Nissan’s R&D department. In order to obtain this crazy transformation, the front doors were stretched by 7.9 inches, and the B-Pillars and rear doors were eliminated. Nissan’s mad scientists then hacked off the roof and replaced it with a cloth convertible top with a rear skylight.

Shortly after Chevrolet launched the SS sports sedan onto the market Hennessey Performance came up with a pretty amazing tuning kit that raised the standard output up to 600 horsepower — up from 415 horsepower.
A few weeks ago, we got a look at the Hennessey SS hitting a top speed of 163 mph on a Texas Toll Road, and today the tuner released a video of the sports sedan running the quarter mile in 11.84 seconds at 117 mph. To put that into perspective, a Ferrari 458 Italia runs the quarter in about 11.5 ticks at 125 mph — not too bad for a sedan.
The only update the model received besides that bad-ass HPE600 kit was a set of drag radials for extra grip.
As a reminder the HPE600 package includes a TVS2300 supercharger, HPE air induction system, fuel system upgrades and ECU modifications. A series of aesthetic updates were also made, including a carbon aero body kit and a carbon-fiber kit for the interior.
How do you think a 100-plus-year-old car behaves on the road? Its pretty hard to imagine something like this is even possible, right? Well, in the latest episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, the Jay took a look at a 1910 Buick Bug. The car was delivered by Jeremy Dimick of Flint’s Sloan Museum and the test drive is pretty interesting.
The 1910 Buick Bug was built as a race car and drew its power from an overhead-valve, four-cylinder engine that delivered a total of 57 horsepower. Though that power is low by today’s standards, it was actually pretty good back in its day, and it helped get the 2,600-pound racer to a top speed of about 105 mph.
During the video, make sure that you pay close attention to the its four exhaust pipes, as the spit fire like today’s supercars when the Bug is idling.
Check out the video to see what Leno thinks of the 1910 Buick Bug.
Hyundai decided to expand its Elantra lineup back in 2012 with a new coupe version. It featured a more aggressive design language than the sedan, a sportier interior, but just like the sedan it came with just one engine option.
The 2014 Elantra Coupe continues pretty much unchanged on the outside, but Hyundai made significant changes under the hood, where the model offers a new 2.0-liter Gasoline Direct Injection engine with 25 more horsepower and 23 pound-feet of torque more than the 1.8-liter engine it replaces.
Other revisions include updated, sport-tuned steering and suspension systems, a new wheels and a rear spoiler for a sportier look. For the interior, Hyundai adds in a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, plus a new Technology Package hits the option sheet to add in some extra features.
For the 2014 model year, the Elantra Coupe is priced from $19,600.

Most of you know Laurence Fishburne for his great Morpheus role played in The Matrix trilogy. Well, he now returns with the same role in Kia’s latest "The Truth" ad prepared for this year’s Super Bowl.
In the ad, Fishburne presents a couple a Matrix-like option while tending the valet stand at an upscale restaurant: “Take the blue key, you go back to the luxury you know. Take the red key, and you’ll never look at luxury the same again.”
Of course the couple chooses the red key, which leads to them cruising in a Kia latest K900 luxury sedan. From there is takes an off turn, as Fishburne singing "Nessun dorma" in the back seat of the K900. We’re not too sure what this has to do with the K900, but it is apparently Kia’s idea of what luxury sounds like.
A few days ago, Toyota previewed its "Muppets" commercial that was set for air during this year’s Super Bowl on February 2nd. Today, the company revealed the full commercial, which features the 2014 Toyota Highlander, Terry Crews and the Muppets.
The commercial, called "Joyride," shows Terry Crews — star of the FOX series "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and former NFL player — driving his Highlander until his ride is invaded by the little Muppets. Just like most other Muppet capers, it also includes an original song. This time around, Crews joins in with a little dance of his own...
"Our game-day spot shows how Toyota Highlander puts the ’fun’ in function," said Jack Hollis, vice president of Toyota Division Marketing at Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. "Toyota vehicles are built to last and can even endure the most boisterous Muppets, a former NFL player as well as a center console full of chickens."
The 2014 Toyota Highlander is on sale at a price of $29,215.
The Corvette/Porsche 911 debate has been ongoing for many years and almost rivals the Camaro/Mustang debate. Sure, the Corvette has recently kept pace with the 911 Carrera lately, but the 911 always has been a more sophisticated and better handling car. On the other hand, the 911 Carrera S is significantly more expensive than the Corvette ever has been and ever will be.
Well, Chris Harris decided to put these two in a head-to-head matchup, as put the Corvette Stingray and the new-generation 911 Carrera S on the track and let their performance do the talking.
As a reminder, the new Corvette Stingray is powered by a 6.2-liter, small-block, V-8 engine dubbed the LT1 that produces 460 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 465 pound-feet of torque at 4,600 rpm. This engine pushes the car from 0 to 60 mph in under four seconds and up to a top speed of 190 mph.
On the other hand, the 911 Carrera S gets a 3.8-liter, flat-six engine that delivers a total of 400 horsepower. The Carrera S goes from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and up to a top speed of 180 mph.
Check out the video to see what Harris thinks: which is better German or American sports car?
Recently, rumors popped up suggesting that the 2015 Corvette Stingray will come with a series of changes, including the availability of a new, eight-speed automatic transmission. According to Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter, you shouldn’t hold your breath though, as the company has "a lot on our plate to get done." This means that we’ll likely not see it until 2016.
Adding a new transmission means recalibrating and validating pretty much everything on the car, including horsepower, torque, traction control, launch control and performance traction management. The car will also need to pass GM’s battery of extreme temperature tests, and all these processes require lots of time and work.
On top of all of those changes and tests, there is also the fact that the Corvette is a low-volume car for GM, and developing a new eight-speed automatic gearbox doesn’t make business sense until it sees use in other models.

Hyundai already revealed the new-generation Genesis sedan, but it looks like the coupe version will remain the same for at least another year. For 2014, the Genesis Coupe received only minor updates, with the biggest one being an improved six-speed manual with carbon-coated synchronizer rings, new exterior colors and some new duds on the inside.
For the exterior, Hyundai focused on adding more standard features, like heated mirrors and fog lights, and five new colors. Updates on the interior include a new cloth interior scheme, an improved navigation system, enhanced seat bolsters on R-Spec variants and Blue Link telematics with Assurance Connected Care.
As with the previous model year, the 2014 Genesis Coupe will be offered with a choice of two engines: a base 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a more powerful 3.8-liter V-6. They can be combined with an improved six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Prices for the 2014 Hyundai Genesis Coupe start from $26,350.

Volkswagen has always had some of the most hilarious commercials to run during the Super Bowl. For the 2014 Super Bowl XLVIII, Volkswagen wanted to show the world what happens when a Volkswagen hits 100,000 miles.
Developed by Argonaut — a San Francisco-based creative agency — the commercial shows a dad who explains to his daughter the importance of hitting 100,000 miles: "It’s a big deal. What if I told you every time a Volkswagen hits a 100,000 miles a German engineer gets his wings."
Of course, this does not mean that the German engineers actually enjoy what’s happening to them, as there are moments when these wings can be rather disturbing. You will understand what are we talking about by simply watching the commercial prepared for Super Bowl.
Check out the above video to see what happens when a Volkswagen hits 200,000 miles, it’s rather interesting.
After enjoying success during the 2013 model year, Chrysler decided to bring back the 300C John Varvatos Limited Edition for the 2014 model year. This time, however, the special edition also offers Chrysler’s intelligent all-wheel-drive system, along with a series of bespoke exterior appointments and exotic interior materials.
Just like in the previous year, the new 300C special edition is offered with a standard 292-horsepower, Pentastar V-6 engine, while the HEMI V-8 with 363 horsepower is available as an option. Both engines are offered with Chrysler’s intelligent AWD system that features a segment-exclusive active transfer case and front-axle-disconnect system. This means that the system automatically switches between rear-wheel drive and AWD with no driver intervention.
The 2014 Chrysler 300C John Varvatos Limited Edition will be put on sale later in March at a starting price of $44,480.

A few days ago, Jaguar unveiled the first teaser video for its commercial set to be aired during Super Bowl XLVII on February 2nd. Now, Jaguar revealed its full "British Villain" commercial that puts out the message "#GoodToBeBad."
As no surprise the star of this commercial is the brand new Jaguar F-Type R Coupe, which was pushed hard for this commercial. The British Villains are played by Sir Ben Kinglsey, Tom Hiddleston, and Mark Strong.
Jaguar started with the idea that all that power corrupts and that the gents staring in the commercial have the character, intelligence and sheer determination to turn the world upside down, just like Jaguar’s new R Performance lineup, especially the latest F-Type R.
The new F-Type R will be put on sale in March 2014 at a starting price of $99,000.
So, what do you think, is it really good to be bad?
Mercedes launched a special edition A45 AMG at the 2014 2014 Tokyo Auto Salon. Called Petronas Green Edition. This model is based on the A45 AMG Edition 1 and was built as a tribute to the Petronas oil company, Mercedes-Benz’s major sponsor in F1 .
The model was specially designed by AMG Performance Studio and, as its name suggests, is all about the green elements added to the car — a hat tip to Petronas. The model features green graphics on the front bumper and sides to spice things up a bit. On the inside, there are green highlights on the moldings, decors and stitching with special AMG logos on the headrests.
No details were revealed on the engine, so we expect this special edition to be offered with the same engine found in standard A45 AMG. This means it’ll carry a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers a total of 360 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque.
The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG Petronas Green Edition will be limited to just 30 units and all of them will be offered exclusively for the Japanese market.

BMW has spread its Individual treatment to the recently launched 4 Series Coupe and Convertible models. Few details were revealed about this new package, but the first images posted on BMW’s Facebook page show us that the two models will be released very soon.
Just like with all the other BMW Individual models, the package applied to the 4 Series models will increase the luxury and the sportiness of the models already awesome 4 Series.
For the 4 Series coupe, BMW offers a Citrine Black metallic paint job combined with19-inch light alloy wheels in "V-spoke 626 l" design. Though these rims appear to be the only modification on the outside, BMW did spend a good bit of time on the Individual’s interior.
On the inside, the BMW Individual 4 Series Coupe is offered with a fine-grain Merino leather trim in Gold Brown and a BMW Individual Plane Auburn trimmed in dark fine wood, which is similar to what we saw in the BMW Concept 4.

Hennessey Performance revealed one of the first tuning kits for the seventh-generation Chevrolet Corvette last July, and the best part is that the tuner offers four different power kits — HPE600, HPE700, HPE800 and HPE1000 — with the output level ranging from 600 to 1,000 horsepower.
The tuner took one of this kits — the HPE700 — and strapped it onto the dyno to see what the car is really capable of. The HPE700 includes a TVS2300 supercharger system and Hennessey’s in-house HPE Air Induction System, CNC ported heads for free-flowing air and exhaust, and a hot camshaft.
As a result of all of this hard work and engineering, the Stingray HPE700 delivers a total of 700 horsepower at 6,300 rpm — up from the standard 460 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 465 pound-feet of torque at 4,600 rpm.
Check out the video to see how the Corvette HPE700 did on the dyno test!
Last year, a BMW M3 tricked by G-Power to deliver a total of 610 horsepower managed to hit an amazing top speed of 337.6 km/h (209.7 mph) at Italy’s famous high-speed test track in Nardo. With this result, G-Power managed to break its previous record at Nardo established back in 2011, when a 570-horsepower BMW M3 hit a top speed of 333.1 km/h (206.9 mph).
Now, in order to celebrate the record-breaking event, G-Power announced the special-edition BMW M3 "Hurricane 337." Only 30 units will be produced and it can be applied to M3 V8 SK I, SK II and SK II CS supercharger systems.
This special M3 "Hurricane 337 Edition" is equipped with a powerful ASA T1-523 radial supercharger, a high-flow air intake with large racing air filter, a large volumetric intercooler system made from cast aluminum and a cast aluminum air box. All these changes increased the final output up to a total of 615 horsepower and 438 pound-feet of torque.
In order to improve the engine sound, G-Power also installed a full titanium exhaust system including a set of racing catalytic converters, which also help save a total of 57 pounds from the car’s total weight.

With Lexus officially unveiling the new RC F, its Racing division decided to develop a GT500 version for the upcoming Super GT series. The 2014 RC F GT500 made its world debut at the 2014 Tokyo Auto Salon and will begin intensive testing, before its racing debut on April 6th, 2014.
When compared to the base RC F, the new GT500 version features an aggressive body kit with a front lip spoiler, carbon-fiber canards and ventilated front fenders. On the rear, Lexus added a prominent wing and a massive rear diffuser. All these changes help improve the RC F’s stability at high speeds.
No details were offered on the interior, but we’re sure the interior will be updated with a full-racing cockpit, racing seats and a roll cage.
Under its hood, the RC F GT500 features the same engine as the road-going version: a 5.0-liter, 32-valve, V-8 engine that delivers a total of 450 horsepower and more than 383 pound-feet of torque.

There’s no doubting that Ken Block shots some of the most bad-ass videos we’ve ever seen. But have you ever wanted to get a first-hand look of the amazing Gymkhana course? We bet that the answer to this question is a resounding "yes" and, with this is mind, Block revealed the 6th installment of his world famous Gymkhana series from a slightly different angle.
Sure, this is the same course that we saw in the earlier Gymkhana 6 video, but this one offers up tons more cut shots, thanks to strategically placed GoPro cameras. And these new angles are enough to make this feel like an all new Gymkhana video, as you get a look at just how precise Block is in his Fiesta.
This dude is simply amazing, and we can’t say much more than that. Enjoy the video, folks.
Here at TopSpeed, we don’t pay much attention to Tata Motors, mostly because it does not produce high-performance supercars. Today, however, we bring you tragic news concerning the company, as its managing director Karl Slym died yesterday after a fall from a Bangkok hotel. While the circumstances of his death were not disclosed initially, it is now rumored that the police are investigating his death as a possible suicide.
The incident happened at a Bangkok hotel where Slym was attending a board meeting. According to reports, a suicide note was found in Slym’s hotel room on the 22nd floor. Police are still investigating his death and a final ruling will be announced in about a week, following an autopsy.
Before joining Tata Motors, Karl Slym worked for Toyota UK, and then General Motors in India and China. Slym was named managing director of Tata Motors in October 2012.
As you probably expected, Slym’s death also affected Tata’s shares: this morning they tumbled almost 5 percent in Mumbai.

The upcoming Baby Jeep was caught testing for the first time back in October 2013, and it looked identical to its Fiat cousin. Since then, the small Jeep has evolved a bit, as the prototype that our spy photographers caught today looks more like a typical Jeep.
Also known as the Jeepster, the future baby Jeep will be built on the same Small Wide platform that will see use under the Fiat 500 L and 500 MPW. Jeep is planning to use this model as a competitor to the Nissan Juke and Peugeot 2008.
We have no details on the engine lineup just yet, but depending on the market, the next baby Jeep will be offered with gasoline and diesel engines. We expect the new Jeep to come standard with front-wheel drive and have all-wheel drive as an available option.
Expect the new Baby Jeep to be unveiled later this March, most likely at the Geneva Motor Show. The model will be built in Italy along with the Fiat500X.

Most of you know Johnny Galecki, especially for his great part in the CBS hit show "The Big Bang Theory," but few of you know that Galecki has a great passion for Super Bowl ads: "the commercials during the game are always the highlight for me."
This year he will not only watching the commercials on TV, but he will also star in Hyundai’s ad called "Nice." It shows Galecki driving a brand-new 2014 Elantra when an attractive young woman pulls up next to him in the exact same Elantra. Like every other man, Galecki sees an opportunity in this encounter and complements the lady for the "nice ride." When the light turns green and then a crazy car chase takes place, with plenty of explosions and even a little air time.
The second spot, which is called "Dad’s Sixth Sense," features Hyundai’s all-new Genesis and shows how its automatic emergency braking can relieve the stress of being a day and raising a son.

BMW offered the M3 CSL only for the 2004 model year, and it produced only 1,400 units. The M3 CSL was 240 pounds lighter than the standard M3, offered an updated suspension, a more aggressive body kit and an upgraded transmission. In fact, the model enjoyed so much success that Jeremy Clarkson himself named it "BMW at its absolute best."
The only problem is that the history is not about to repeat itself, as BMW has no plans to offer a CSL version — or anything like it — of the new M3 and M4. That’s because, according to Matt Collins product manager for BMW’s small to medium cars, the current M3 and M4 model are as light as they can possible get: "they come in under 1500kgs (3300 pounds), which for a car like this is incredible."
This may be depressing to some Bimmer fans, but it also goes to show that BMW really put everything it had into these models. We cannot help but tip our hats to the German automaker.

We’ve first saw Infiniti’s IPL models back in 2011 when the company wanted to offer a more aggressive look and some extra power for its coupe and convertible models. The only problem is that the IPL line is nothing like a real high-performance sports car offered by BMW or Audi, like M or the RS line, but it can easily compete to models like BMW’s M Sport package or Audi’s S models.
Just like with the coupe version, the Q60 IPL Convertible is distinguished by redesigned front and rear fascias, black elements here and there, specially designed wheels and, of course, some "IPL" badges. Under the hood, the V-6 engine is tricked to deliver an extra 18 horsepower over the base 2014 Infiniti Q60.
For the 2014 model year, the Q60 IPL Convertible is priced from $62,000.

As a reminder, the new Ghibli is offered with a choice of two engines: a 3.0-liter, turbocharged V-6 engine that delivers a total of 345 horsepower, or a more powerful 3.0-liter, V-6 engine that pumps out 404 horsepower. The most powerful version foes from 0 to 60 mph in only 4.7 seconds and up to a top speed of 175 mph.

Remember the Doberhuahua teaser video that Audi released a few days ago? Well, after just three days, Audi decided to release the full commercial and explain what that strange-looking dog — the Doberhuahua — was all about.
Apparently this Doberhuahua is a never-before-seen creature that reveals the frightening consequences of bringing compromise and try to mix two dogs: a doberman and a chihuahua.
Of course, the reasoning behind showing us this was that Audi wanted to highlight its new A3 Sedan and celebrate the uncompromised spirit that led to the A3’s unrivaled technology and performance.
Watch the spot to see why the most exceptionally engineered vehicles never come from compromise and to get another look at that odd-looking Doberhuahua that Audi made up.
Shortly after the Super Bowl, the new A3 sedan will be put on sale at a starting price of $29,900.
Chrysler revealed the current 6.4-liter, HEMI V-8 engine back in 2005, but it didn’t see use until the 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 rolled out. Since then, the engine has found itself under the hoods of many Chrysler vehicles, including the Chrysler 300 SRT8, Dodge Charger SRT8, Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.
Now, SRT president and CEO Ralph Gilles said that the company is considering replacing the current HEMI engine, but not before the end of the decade. And that’s because customers are still very much in love with the HEMI engine, but research also revealed that customers would also accept some changes in the lineup.
In a recent interview, Gilles said: "We are only making it because our customers want it. They love it. They love how it sounds, how simple it is, the elegance of it, it’s so reliable, and the torque."
When the current HEMI is replaced, you wouldn’t be surprised to see that SRT will decide to offer something other than a naturally aspirated V-8. This leads us to the possibility of smaller-displacement, turbocharged engines. This allows SRT to offer more powerful engines — on paper, that is — and reduced fuel consumption.

Remember the Peugeot Onyx Hybrid Concept unveiled back in 2012 at the Paris Auto Show? It was the first concept car to use design elements from Peugeot’s new style approach. Now, at the 2014 International Automobile Festival, Tribute to Sensations in Paris, Peugeot will unveil the basic design of a new concept car using similar styling. It will then fully reveal the concept at the Beijing International Automobile Exhibition on April 20th.
The first image of the concept reveals a four-door coupe that is 186.2 inches long and 51.6 inches high, making it very athletic and sporty. Peugeot revealed no details on the engine just yet, but we’re certain it will be an evolution of the hybrid system used in the Onyx, which was a 3.7-liter, FAP HDi V-8 engine combined with an electric motor and regenerative braking for a total output of 680 horsepower!
There are no other details to reveal as of now, but we will bring you updates as soon as Peugeot releases them.

In November of last year, our spy photographers managed to catch the revised Jaguar XJ prototype testing in the wild. Now, the car was caught testing again, but this time out in the cold.
As you can see, the prototype is camouflaged only on the front and rear, meaning that these are the areas that will receive the updates. We expect to see new front and rear bumpers, new headlights and taillights, and likely a new grille. Jaguar will also offer an updated interior, some new technology and some new exterior colors.
There are no details on the engine lineup just yet, but we expect to see the same engines found in the current model. We do expect to see improvements in the output and fuel economy of the entire lineup.
We expect the revised Jaguar XJ to be revealed by the end of 2014.

Today marks the debut of Top Gear’s 21st season and for those of you who will not have the chance to see the show, Top Gear prepared another surprise video. In this video the Top Gear folks put The Stig and a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black head to head against Google’s Street View car on the Top Gear test track.

Matt Farrah is at it again, as in the latest episode of "The Smoking Tire," he puts classic and modern Lambos in a head-to-head battle with the ultra-rare Lamborghini Countach LP5000QV taking on the brand-new Lamborghini Aventador Roadster. Oh, Matt, why must you make us so jealous?
This particular 1988 Countach was upgraded with gold magnesium alloys, fender flares and oversized rear wing and a Euro-spec bumper. Under its hood, the Countach retains its factory V-12 engine with an output of 420 horsepower. In the other corner is the new Aventador Roadster, which is powered by a 6.5-liter, V-12 engine with an amazing 700 ponies punishing the asphalt.
Your first impression may be that the Countach has no chance against the Aventador, but everyone knows that classic Lamborghini models were some of the best cars developed and were true drivers’ cars.

Last year, rumors swirled about Lexus eliminating the IS F sedan and focusing only on the development of the RC F coupe and the GS F sedan. New reports now suggest that Lexus is currently testing the next IS F, and that it could be unveiled sometime next year.
The same rumors suggest that the next IS F will be heavily influenced by the new RC F coupe, including its aggressive body kit, the sport-tuned suspension and the torque vectoring differential with three different modes.
What’s remains unknown is whether the V-8 engine will remain a part of the IS F. There were rumors suggesting that the next IS F could drop the V-8 engine because it would be impossible for the engine to meet the Euro 6 emission standards. The rumors suggested that Lexus would instead offer a naturally aspirated or turbocharged engine with pretty much the same output, but with improved fuel consumption and lowered CO2 emissions.
Now, we’re not too sure if this will indeed happen with the new IS F, especially if you consider that the new RC F uses the old 5.0-liter, V-8 engine.

In October 2013, Toyota announced that the convertible version for the GT86 and the Scion FR-S was put on indefinite hold, because apparently such a car has no place in Toyota’s plans in the near future. This decision was pretty surprising to us, considering that Toyota unveiled the FT86 Open Top Conceptat the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, which made us believe that a convertible GT86/FR-S was just around the corner.
Now, we have new rumors suggesting that Toyota wants the GT86 and FR-S Convertible, but Subaru still has no interest in producing it. As a result, Toyota is now investigating the possibility of developing this car on its own, despite Subaru saying before that Toyota could not do so without its help.
Talking about this issue at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, Doug Murtha, vice president for Scion in the U.S., said: "It’s something we’re looking at internally from both a manufacturing standpoint — where do we build something that’s relatively low-volume, if not at Subaru — and from an engineering standpoint: Where are those resources going to come from to do it?"
With this in mind Toyota asked all of its dealers and Scion dealers around the world to submit volume targets for such a model. If interest has increased, Toyota could start looking into the possibility of manufacturing open-top GT86 and FR-S models. However, it will be very difficult to do so, considering that currently the GT86, FR-S and the BRZ bodies are all developed at Subaru’s plant in Ohta, Japan, and retrofitting a convertible top onto a coupe in any bulk may prove too time-consuming to be profitable for Toyota.

Porsche surprised the automotive world when it took the first prototypes of the revised 911 Turbo out for some tests just a few weeks after the new-generation 911 Turbo hit the market. And now our spy photographers have managed to spot yet another prototype out for a new testing session during cold winter conditions.
The prototype is wearing nearly no camouflage, as the changes made will be minimal and will include revised front and rear bumpers, and new taillights that will likely get the same 3D look revealed by the Macan.
We don’t expect any changes under the hood, so the 911 Turbo will likely keep the same engine as the new-generation 911 Turbo: a turbocharged, 3.8-liter, six-cylinder with direct fuel injection that delivers 520 horsepower in the standard model and 560 horsepower in the S version.
Expect to see the revised Porsche 911 Turbo sometime in late 2015.
German tuner TechArt is already on its second revision for the latest-generation 911 Turbo and with every new tuning kit released, the car is looking better and better. While the first details on this kit from TechArt will be released today, the final performance specs will be unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
Despite the lack of performance details, TechArt did announce that the kit will include a new sport exhaust system with valve control and a muffler kit sport and a new power kit that will give the 911 Turbo some more ponies.
For the exterior, the tuner prepared a stylish aerodynamic kit made from lightweight composite of carbon-fiber and polyurethane RIM. TechArt draped the body in a sleek white with blue and gray racing stripes that run the entire length of the car. A new set of wheels in a five-twin-spoke design completes the picture.

We know its been a while since we last brought you something "nice" to look at, so today we decided it’s time to bring you a rather "nice" tuning calendar. Of course there are some cars in there too, but the stars of the pictures are these rather cute bikini girls.
In case you’re interested in knowing what cars are costarring with the bikini-clad women, they are a Volkswagen Beetle, BMW M3 and a Jeep Wrangler.
Nearly all of the images were taken in Budapest, Germany and Croatia, and the girl you’ll see in most of the pictures is Leonie Hagmeyer-Reyinger — a woman that posed as Miss Tuning plenty of times.
We hope you liked our little surprise to kick off your Friday morning, and these picture will help keep you upbeat in these cold temperatures spanning the majority of the country.

The latest Plus models Audi added to its lineup — the TT-RS Plus and RS3 Plus — have both enjoyed some success, so the German automaker decided to treat another model to the Plus package.
The next model to receive this treatment is the S3. Initial rumors about the model suggest it will be offered with a new four-cylinder turbo engine currently under development by Volkswagen Group. This new engine is rumored to deliver about 375 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque, and will put the upcoming S3 Plus between the standard S3 and the upcoming RS3.
Audi officials said that this new engine comes as a response to the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine offered by small Mercedes models. like the A45 AMG and CLA45 AMG. Of course, do not expect this new engine to be used only in the S3 Plus, as rumors suggest Volkswagen will also place this engine in the upcoming Scirocco and a new Golf R Evo, which is rumored to be unveiled in April at the Beijing Motor Show.
The rumblings in the industry lead us to believe that the new Audi S3 Plus will be unveiled by the end of the year.

Its true, Chris Harris started the year a little slow for our liking, but it’s getting better with every new Drive episode he shoots. This week, Harris put head to head three of the most powerful sedans out there: the Jaguar XFR-S, BMW M6 Gran Coupe and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG.
The three sedans are all in the 550-horsepower area — 550 horsepower for the XFR-S, 560 horsepower for the M6 and 550 horsepower for the E63 AMG — so, based solely on this specifications numbers, it’s pretty difficult to know which one is the best. But, there are lots of other additional features that influence a car’s behavior on the road, and this is exactly what Harris wants to see: which car behaves the best in all driving conditions.
The three sedans were pushed to their limits on track, road and drag strip, so, as no surprise the video is another great show put together by Harris.
Apparently, the Ferrari 458 Italia is a very tunable car, as in the past few months we’ve seen tons of tuning kits, and today is time for another one coming from Luxury Customs from Switzerland.
The car was delivered by a client who wanted to get a blacked-out 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia to turn a few heads. As a result, the supercar was updated with tinted windows and taillights, blacked-out chrome logos and trim and a sleek black exterior paint. The Italia also car rides on a set of ADV.1 alloy wheels with yellow brake calipers peeking through.
Along with the dark trim, the model’s aggressive appearance was also upgraded with an exterior kit that includes a new front lip spoiler, new side skirts and a new rear diffuser that further improves the aggressive look of the prancing horse.
There are no performance upgrades included in this kit, so the Italia retains its 4.5-*liter V-8 that cranks out 562 horsepower.

Pagani Huayra is one supercar that continues to make a huge impression on us, regardless of how many times we see it. The only problem is that up to this point, we haven’t gotten the chance to get behind the wheel and push it to its limits. Lucky for us, we can enjoy this great video that shows us what the Huayra is really capable of.
The Huayra is powered by a Mercedes-sourced 6.0-liter, V-12 twin-turbo engine that delivers an outstanding 700 horsepower and 730 pound-feet of torque. This is enough to sprint the Huayra from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and up to a top speed of 230 mph.
This video was shot on the Monza race track, Italy and includes close fly by and acceleration. So, turn up the volume, sit back and enjoy the fantastic sound the Huayra makes.
2014 has started "in style" for Justin Bieber; he’s having problems with his neighbors and he’s almost been arrested for cocaine possession, and now the pop star is into even more trouble.
Police officers in Miami confirmed that the 19-year-old singer was arrested for drag racing. According to the police report, Bieber was racing a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo (image above) around 4:09 this morning against a red Ferrari. Both drivers were arrested and the two cars were towed.
That’s not where the fun stops. Bieber also failed a field sobriety test, so he was hauled off to the Miami-Dade County jail for a breathalyzer test. We have to remind you that Bieber is only 19 years old — 21 is the legal drinking age in Florida — and the test must come back with a blood-alcohol content level of less than 0.02 percent, or he can face a six-month license suspension. For the drag-racing offense, he can receive a jail sentence of up to six months, a fine of $500 to $1,000, and a one-year license suspension.
Of course, we don’t any judge to throw the book at "The Bieb," as Bieber’s lawyers will likely get him off with just a fine and a license suspension. But, do you think this will stop him for making the same mistake again? We think not!
At least we can all get a good look at his rather awkward happiness in his mugshot (above).
