The stunning new GB60 is the most efficient cruiser in her class.

The stunning new GB60 is the most efficient cruiser in her class, with a ride that easily surpasses any yacht of its size on the water today. This beautiful completely redesigned yacht pays homage to classic Grand Banks styling, with a special focus on performance and fuel consumption that puts the GB60 in a league of its own. Featuring wide-open entertaining areas, supremely comfortable furnishings, and 3 staterooms, this true ocean-going long-range cruiser is the ideal vessel for passage making, and can be easily handled by 2 people.

The Grand Banks 60 can reach speeds up to 36 knots, has a range of over 2,500 nautical miles at 10 knots, and uses an unbelievably efficient 29 gal/hr of fuel 20 knots. We believe we have created the most stable 60-foot monohull flybridge in the world, which performs confidently in even the roughest seas and will take you anywhere you want to go.

The GB60 is Grand Banks’ first foray into our new standard of fully infused carbon fiber construction, resulting in a low center of gravity, inherent form stability at all speeds, and has multiple advantages in strength, rigidity, weight and performance. This is next level yachting.

To make the yacht strong, light and thus more efficient, the entire deck and cabin house are fully infused utilizing the highest quality carbon fibre available — a method is primarily seen in performance sailing craft. A fully-cored structure is employed using PVC foam core in areas of specific application, sandwiched between skins of stitched multi-axial carbon fibre, bonded with vinyl ester and epoxy resins and supported by infused composite panels in a robust grid system — all working together for long life, strength, and reliability in punishing open water conditions.

A quick glance at the exterior also sets this design apart as a true ocean-going yacht
Grand Banks is delivering a large, comfortable yacht that can be owned and operated by a knowledgeable cruising couple, with the width and interior volume that makes extended stays practical for owners and their guests.

The GB 60 measures 20.4 meters LOA, has a beam of 5.8 meters and draws only 1.1 meters. This means that Grand Banks is delivering a large, comfortable yacht that can be owned and operated by a knowledgeable cruising couple, with the width and interior volume that makes extended stays practical for owners and their guests, and the capability to explore waters less frequented by other 60-footers with deeper draft. And the company is delivering this themes in a design that hearkens back to the days when balance and proportion were prerequisites for a desirable yacht, one that would be visually pleasing over decades. A quick glance at the exterior also sets this design apart as a true ocean-going yacht, with a large and well-protected flybridge, wide side decks with high bulwarks and handholds, and an extended boat deck that shelters the aft deck from the elements. All of this, coupled with the optional Sea Keeper stabilizer, will position the new GB60 in the front of the pack in both safety and comfort at sea.

Managing a 51,520-lb. yacht requires excellent control at the helm. That’s why Grand Banks selected fuel-efficient twin 900-horsepower Volvo Penta D13 diesels on hull number one for the main propulsion and mated them to Twin Disc Quick Shift marine transmissions. Dual TwinDisc EC300 Power Commander Electronic Controls and triple Twin Disc Express Joysticks, controlling not only the main propulsion straight-shaft drivetrains but also the Twin Disc BP300 bow and stern thrusters give the helmsman fingertip control at low speeds for precise manoeuvring capabilities around crowded docks or tightly packed slips, as well as instant throttle response in open waters. And with a touch of the Express Positioning button, the system will automatically hold the GB 60 in the desired, GPS-located position and heading — a huge benefit for those waiting for a bridge in tricky wind and current, or for those operating short handed who need security while they leave to tend to lines and fenders. Engine options include shaft or IPS options. Depending upon the engine package selection, predicted performance includes a top speed of 35 knots, a high-cruise speed of 27 knots, and a range of 2,500 nautical-miles at 10 knots.
