The CRUISER 41 was designed for ultimate sailing pleasure on the water and absolute comfort on board. Two spacious aft cabins, a generously proportioned main cabin with en suite head, a luxurious saloon and an efficient galley – the CRUISER 41 is the perfect yacht to spend time with the family or for heading out to sea with friends.
With three kinds of wood to choose from for the interior and six for the floor, six variations of upholstery fabric and much more, the possibilities for individually tailoring a CRUISER 41 to your very own desires are more varied than you might think.

The forces acting on the hull of a sailing yacht which have to be captured and redirected are significant. In collaboration with specialists from Farr Yacht Design, BAVARIA’s design and production team work out an individual load profile for every yacht, from which they later derive laminate plans and reinforcements. The focus is on a stable bulkhead, which also manages the forces acting on a CRUISER 41. Precisely fitted into the hull to the nearest millimetre, it is securely glued to the hull across a large area. Particularly strong keel bolts ensure a force-fit to the keel – twice as many as is usual in yacht construction. The mast support conveys the forces of the rigging into the reinforced floor assembly – this kind of distribution of forces is used on modern racing yachts. In addition to the stable hull structure, a massive main bulkhead that is laminated to the hull ensures ultimate rigidity. For protection in the event of frontal collisions, every CRUISER has a collision bulkhead.
The CRUISER 41’s real engine is its rigging and sails. The BAVARIA product managers collaborated with designers from the US company Farr Yacht Design to develop an extremely powerful sail plan and an optimal arrangement of all fittings and trimming options for the CRUISER 41, which the owner can have adapted to his personal sailing style during construction. On the CRUISER 41 there are for example three options for guiding the mainsheet – from the cruising version with one sheet, which can be trimmed with one of the halyard winches on the cockpit roof, to a sporty version in which the mainsheet can be guided with the two aft cockpit winches and operated there by the helmsman. The genoa tracks for the sheet block positions of the headsail are mounted far inside on the structure on a CRUISER 41 in order to ensure the best possible angle to the wind. The sails of the CRUISER 41 come from Elvström Sails in Denmark and have been specially developed to meet BAVARIA’s exacting requirements. You can therefore choose between different kinds of sails, from Dacron sails to sails made from the high performance membrane EPEX, depending on your personal needs and sailing style – and these are just a few of the elements that give the CRUISER 41 such perfect sailing performance.
In order to ensure optimum lighting below deck, the CRUISER 41 makes use of a sophisticated lighting design consisting of eight skylights, newly designed flush windows in the coach roof, eight hull windows and two windows in the cockpit. When the sun becomes too bright, high quality blinds provide the appropriate protection. The hatches and windows are designed in such a way that it is not only the light that can be adjusted according to need – ventilation in the CRUISER 41 can be optimally controlled by opening and closing the hatches. All hatches and windows can be opened to various degrees in order to let exactly the desired flow of air into the three cabins, the heads and the saloon.
The CRUISER 41’s swim platform has generous dimensions with a view to providing ample space when you drop anchor for a dip in the ocean. In designing it, BAVARIA paid attention not only to getting the dimensions right, but also to making it a simple construction with superior stability. We know that a swim platform serves more than just one purpose: back in the harbour it is the entrance to the cockpit, the loading point for supplies, an area for inflating the dinghy and a place for the crew to get together after an exhilarating day of sailing.
