Hunton Powerboats Finally Headed To America
Hunton Powerboats, considered as one of the most luxurious luxury powerboat brands in the world, is headed to the American market. Company CEO Fiona Pool made the declaration during a New York Post interview on April 21, 2015.
This news is a welcome development for American yacht owners who have pining to see Hunton Powerboats in the local market for years. More importantly, the company’s arrival in the largest marine market in the world will properly establish Hunton Powerboats’ reputation as one of the best in the business. Most of the world already knows this and soon enough, so will the US market.
So why did it take this long for Hunton Powerboats to enter the US market? According to Pool, the company was always treated as a hobby business by its founder, Jeff Hunton. But after she and a group of business partners bought the business from Hunton in 2010, the new leadership decided to turn it into a full-fledged company that offered its products not only in the UK, but also in the overseas market, including the US.
Now that Hunton Powerboats is scheduled to cross over to the other side of the Atlantic, the company is already gearing up for what it plans to offer in the US. Pool didn’t immediately specify which models are headed here, but the Hunton XRS37 is the likeliest first candidate as it has already been priced at a whopping $850,000, including shipping and taxes.

Why it matters
It’s been a long time coming and for a while, it seemed that it would never happen. But finally, Hunton Powerboats is finally coming to America.
I can already hear the jubilant cheers coming from sailors and yacht enthusiasts over this development. I don’t blame them for their excitement because I’m pretty geeked up too.
I’ve often heard of Hunton Powerboats being described as the Aston Martin of the high seas and while the comparison seemed ridiculous when I first heard it, it also piqued my interest that a lot of people overseas validated the comparisons. Now it’s time for Hunton Powerboats to at least prove that the hype is real, and what better place to do that than the biggest marine market in the world.
As I’ve said, the company has been mum on the specifics of its plans for exporting its products to the US. But at least we already have confirmation from the company’s CEO that it’s happening sooner than later.
That’s incredible news in it of itself. All we have to do now is wait for the announcement because once Hunton Powerboats breaks the lid on its plans for the US market, I suspect that those cheers I’m already hearing will grow even louder.
