Sailing Week will commence with Race 1 on April 29th, 2007 and end on May 4th, 2007.

Leg 1 of the Yachting World - sponsored Round the Island Race for Division A yachts is scheduled for Sunday 29 April - the first day of the regatta.

The course will take the fleet from a start line off English Habour on a eastabout direction round the top of the island to Dickenson Bay, joining Division B fleet who will have completed the Dickenson Bay Race out to the west.

The organiser's decision to run the event in two legs stemmed from concerns about the inaugural race two years ago where light winds nearly forced the cancellation of the event. By adjusting the format to a two-day event at least part of the race would be completed should the wind fail to materialise sufficiently.

The second leg to complete the round the island sprint to English Harbout will take place the following day (Monday), while Division B battle it out in the south of the island in the Falmouth Harbour Races.

The winner with the fastest elapsed time (combining both legs) will be presented with the spectacular Yachting World solid silver punch bowl and a solid silver keeper plate as a keepsake.

Who will take the trophy from two-times winner Tom Hill sailing his Reichel/Pugh 70ft Titan XII? This year's line-up includes the likes of the Volvo Ocean Race winner ABN AMRO One and the Open 60 Artemis Ocean Racing with Jonny Malbon at the helm.
