2007 London Boat Show

January 5-14, 2007

Most people who rent bare-boats, and rather a lot of boat owners in general can’t anchor. This is going to show them how to, and will cover situations such as freeing your anchor if someone’s laid their chain over yours, and anchoring without a windlass. It may include famous anchoring tales, like the one where the captain of a huge and famous charter J class yacht came in stern to in Cannes, and had forgotten to tie the end of the chain on after a refit and the whole lot went over the side.

The new look Inland Waterways attraction is a remarkable festival of our inland waterways covering over an acre of floor space, with a number of boats on display and plenty to see for all including narrowboats, river cruisers, dayboats, shared ownership and much, much more..
